Question about Computers & Internet
I broke the keyboard connector cable clip of my Medion Akoya P6631. Does anybody have a replacement he could sell or know where I could get that clip? I just need the small locking clip that holds the keyboard's cable in place. Thanks in advance!
It is a hard to find component and not available in a normal laptop spare parts seller. Is that a lift off type or pull back type? If you get an old faulty motherboard in ebay or somewhere, a good chiplevel technician can remove it and solder it to your laptop's motherboard. Otherwise search within ths website for a similar one but if you see one, need to solder it to the motherboard. That work need extreme skill otherwise the whole motherboard will go for scrap.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Remove the large panel (7 screws) on the base of the machine.
The memory is situated under a black flexible plastic cover about 75 x 30 mm - amost directly below the earphone and mousepad area.
Memory is held in position by clips at each side - press them outwards and memory card will pop-up.
A second card can be fitted below and slightly higher than the first.
I have just fitted IGb and will probably put in another (max 2GB), - cost about £15.
Hope this is of use.

Best bet is to obtain a faulty motherboard and use the clip from that - they are often sold very cheaply declared as faulty on ebay.
Please rate my assistance I hope it is helpful.

You need a flat bladded thin screw driver to prise off the long cover
the runs along the top of the keyboard and just below the screen. Make
sure you remove any screws at the back of the screen hinges, and along
the top above the battery housing (you need a small posidrive
screwdriver for this). You will find there is a screw on the underside
of the laptop that holds the keyboard in place from underneath, plus
two or three very small screws on the top at the screen end. When all
the screws are removed you can lift the keyboard up from the screen end
and pull (gently) away from the touch-pad end. Tilt it up and you will
see the keyboard data ribbon, don't twist it or pull it as you will
hope this helps
