You will need to remove the drain boot that runs between the tub and the pump and clear the filter.

Thanks, Richard. I took out the boot and it's remarkably clean with just some expected detergent sludge accumulated on the sides. Certainly no obstructions. When I powered the pump it makes a very noticeable noise as if it's not spinning smoothly. I put my finger into the pump's inlet hole and felt something that wobbles but I'm not sure what it's supposed to be like.

Took apart the drain pump and found that the impeller's shaft is broken. Such a tiny cheap thing and it will cost $90 to replace the whole pump!

OK, here is the pump for $93.00 and it comes with a 365 day any reason return policy!http://bit.ly/TRWpRG

Code f 24 washer wil not start

The "F24" fault code indicates a water temperature sensor error. The temperature sensor could be faulty; the wire connection may have vibrated loose or off the sensor or a possible heater or control board failure. I would begin by

disconnecting the power cord from the power source

and remove the rear panel from the back of the washer. The temperature sensor (key#24) is located at the bottom of the back of the tub. I added an image below to reference the location and a temperature sensor chart. If you do not find the sensor wires disconnected, disconnect the wires and you will need an Ohm meter to measure the resistance of the sensor. At 86 degrees or room temperature, the sensor should measure approximately 9.7K Ohms. Disregard the information in the image about the heating element; your specific model does not have a heating element to heat water. The water temperature is dependent on the temperature of the hot water entering the washer.

NOTE: Be sure the washer is empty of water before removing the sensor.

If you find the temperature sensor faulty; the

temperature sensor for model WFW8410SW01 washer is part #8181705

which can be ordered from Sears Parts Direct.

I have a hoover vhd 9163zd with error code E05,what component does it refer to being at fault, where is the component located

Error Code 05 is a NTC fault, either open circuit or shorted.
If during the water heating step in the wash cycle, the water temperature sensor (NTC) value is out of range, the "E05" error code will be displayed.

Possible Causes / Procedure:
1. Unplug washer or disconnect power.
2. Check the water temperature sensor. Check connections to the water temperature sensor.
3. Check resistance of heating element, if present on this model. (abnormal = infinity).

Replace failed component. It could be the sensor or the temperature control module (NTC module).

Good luck.

The washer will not drain. It goes through all the cycles, fills with water, washes, but when it gets to any of the spin cycles, it stops. The hose going to the drain is NOT clogged.

This is almost certainly a simple problem with your empty pump filter being clogged. The empty cycle is timed and if it can't get all the water out in time because the filter is blocked and slowing the empty down, then it will fail safe and won't step on to the final spin cycle with excess water in the drum.
You need to locate and clean the filter. Depending on the model (not familiar which with the model you mention) there is probably a round filter cap on the front of the machine at the bottom (It may be behind a small door or hidden behind a clip on panel on the bottom)

Getting a "oe" error how

See

http://lgknowledgebase.com/kb/index.php?View=entry&EntryID=6273

The LG error code OE simply means "the pump is blocked". Presumably the water isn't being emptied properly. As with all error codes it is possible that there is a cause other than the exact description in the error code explanation but basically this error means as far as the washing machine is concerned it thinks the water isn't pumping out. A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system etc.

Check the drain hose for blockage. and see if the water filters is clogged. Specific instructions will vary based on your specific LG model. Most LG frontloaders have an access panel on the front for the water filter.

Fault code 00XX000X on GW612 washer

Hi just read your posting. This fault code indicates you have a COLD WATER VALVE FAULT.The lights you marked with --x-- are the ones that are lit.Is this correct? What you need to do is to test the valve coil for OHMS resistance. It should be around 60 to 63 ohms. The water valves are located under the top panel. Please reply to tell me how you got on or if you need further assistance.

F35 is a water level error.
The water level switch (pressure switch) has malfunctioned.

If you remove the top panel, three screws in the back, you will have access to the pressure switch.

With the tub empty, remove the vinyl hose from the switch and blow backwards through the hose to clear any restrictions.

If the fault codes return after doing this, you will likely need to replace the pressure switch.

Also - please be sure to use He soap.

I have a kenmore elite HE5t quiet pak 9 washer it keep flashing F 20 and F35 what does these codes mean?

"F20" is a No Water Detect error. It is an indication that you either have no water coming into the washer, or very little water at all. If the pressure switch has not tripped after 6 minutes, the error code is displayed. This can be a potential problem with the following:

If you have NO water in the wash tub, check the following:

- Inlet water valve may be clogged. Clean inlet screens if necessary.
- Make sure water taps are on.
- Check inlet hoses for kinks or clogs.

If you HAVE water filling the wash tub, check the following:

- Make sure you don't have a siphoning problem. Click the following link for instructions:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r587481-prevent_washer_siphoning

- Verify Drain Pump operation.
- Verify the Pressure Switch hoses are intact and connected properly.
- Verify wire harness connections at the pressure switch, inlet valves, drain pump and Central Control Unit (CCU).

To access the Drain Pump - UNPLUG the washer and take the lower panel under the door off by removing the three screws under the bottom edge. HINT: Propping the front feet of the washer up can make access much easier. I use a couple small blocks of wood. With the screws removed, the panel should drop down then come off. If it sticks, tap either side and it should come free. The pump is located directly under the wash tub in the front of the washer. Verify the electrical connections are good and that the pump is running. Click on the following link to check the pump for obstructions:

http://www.fixya.com/support/r385845-checking_drain_pump_in_whirlpool_duet

To access the Pressure Switch - remove the three screws in the top panel along the back of the washer. With the screws removed, the panel should slide back, then, lift off. The pressure switch is located on the right-hand side of the washer in the rear. It is a round plastic device with electrical connections and a plastic air hose attached. Verify the electrical connections are intact, and the air hose is attached and not cracked or leaking.

To access the Central Control Unit (CCU) - with the top panel of the washer removed, the CCU is located directly behind, and just above the rear of the wash tub. There should be a tech sheet directly behind the lower panel or attached to one of the interior cabinet walls. Please refer to this sheet to learn how to perform diagnostics and to verify the wire connections at the CCU. In addition, the tech sheet will also assist in how to locate the components mentioned, and the specific measurements required determining if the components are good or bad.

Fisher paykel gwl10us wont fill

Both of you most likely are getting a "RPS Sensor Fault"
On a GWL10, when the motor rotor position sensor fails, it will act exactly like you describe. Many techs incorrectly replace the machine control or the water inlet valve(s). The RPS sensor is much cheaper. If you consult the tech sheet located under the control panel, you will see the fault code for RPS failure and I would bet the farm that the sequence of LEDs displayed when your washer faults out matches exactly with the RPS fault code.

The RPS sensor for GWL10 and GWL11 models is a part # 420296P and canbe purchased direct from Fisher Paykel Parts:
http://fisherpaykelparts.net/index.php?categoryid=111&productid=5

The procedure to replace it is a little involved but a handy person can do it. It would be best to consult the factory service manual and again, that can be purchased from Fisher Paykel Parts direct here:
