I could not find a cam gear for 247 but i bought one for 248 and had to cut off 1/4 inch off shaft. Seems to be working OK.

My singer 227 m was a gift i accidently took the bobbin out now dont know how to put back in also need the settings they need to be on please cuz the top thread is reallyy loose

If the upper thread tension is off, most likely it is threaded incorrectly or it is not seated in the tension disks. Remove the upper thread, RAISE the presser foot and rethread from the beginning. Verify the thread path is correct. Set the upper tension to the midway point between high & low number to start and then tweak it from there.

A manual for your machine would be a tremendous help.

SINGER Installing Front Load Bobbin Tutorial

Be sure to keep your machine clean and oiled--ONLY fresh, good quality sewing machine oil or liquid Tri-Flow Synthetic Lube from the hardware store. Open the top lid, the side over the needle bar and the bobbin area. Slowly rock the handwheel and apply ONLY 1-2 drops every place where metal rubs against metal. AVOID belts, plastic gears, cams. Be sure to move selector dials and levers and oil those metal mechanisms too. Doing this every 40 hours of sewing will keep your machine happy and healthy. Also, remember to change out the needles frequently--every 8 hours of use.

Stuck cam on singer 322

It's difficult to tell from the picture I found, but if you can take the top off, oil the mechanism riding on the cam and work it back & forth. Usually, it will free itself. This is a sign it needs the old lubricants removed, and replaced with quality ones that won't gum up in the future. A good repair shop has safe chemicals and experience to replace the lubricants.

Supply of new stitch cog for Bernina 830 Record

I don't know what a stitch cog is by your definition but I suspect that you may be referring to the cam stack worm gear, part # 310 007 03. These gears are available, however those produced and sold as after market parts online have ranged from bad to very bad. I would suggest that you find an OEM part (not a reproduction) that are still available from time to time on EBAY etc.
Changing the gear is not as straight forward as it may look. The proper replacement requires: 1. removal of the cam stack without damaging the machine parts, 2. removal and installation of the new gear with the correct alignment of the individual cams, 3. installation of the cam stack and pattern indicator without axial play, 4. correct parabola timing of the main-shaft worm wheel and cam stack gear, 5. synchronization of the zigzag and automatic cam parabolas, 6. pattern indicator timing, 7. checking and adjusting the automatic needle position. Singer stylist 7258, will only pick up bobbin on one side when doing zigzag stitch

try using a washable stablizer or interfacing.
if that doesn't help then it's possible that a gear or cam may be worn enough to cause the machine zig zag not to work properly

My hook gear has gone bad, I have singer sewing machine model # 834, I need help with how to take the parts off and replace them

Follow this link, click on the hook gear parts, and you will see a link to a video showing how to install these gears. I was able to follow this video and replace the gears on my old machine. For me it was do-able, but moderately difficult. If you think you're up to it, go for it. Replacing all for gears a t once will cost $50. (Singer 834).

Hi, Have broken a gear on a Singer 527. The gear is in the middle of the shaft that drives the bobbin, and is there to drive another gear going to the foot feed cam. Can you help please with part number...

You can get the bottom gear very easily even on ebay or from most sewing machine shops, if you email me I can attach full instructions to retime but remind me of your model.

Replacing broken gears on Singer Touch & Sew Model 648

Remove the plastic faceplate from the front of the machine. There is a Singer logo button that you will have to pop out to release it, and then the lever nobs to get around to get it off. You can then access the allen screw on the top gear.
Remove all the set screws on both the top and bottom gears on the vertical shaft. Put them in a safe place.
The vertical shaft sits directly below the horizontal shaft, but there is some space between them and wiggle room to do the following. If the shaft does not slip down easily, use a small diameter rod or screwdriver to gently tap the vertical shaft downward until the top gear slips off the end. Remove the gear.
