Utstarcom um100c software for windows 7

for your download click htt

This device will work on win7, no problem. You'll need the install disc or the software.

UM100 win7 64bit

1.Double-click the quicklinkmobile.exe application from cricket. It will unpack a folder with the installation files in the same folder the quicklinkmobile.exe app is residing.

2.Go in that folder and click on start.exe, then click on install quick link mobile. Go through the normal setup as you normally would.

3.Once it finishes installing, connect your UM100 UTStarcom modem on a free USB Port. Don't open the Cricket Wireless application just yet.

4. Go to start menu, right click on Computer and select properties. Then click on device manager on the left. You will find the UM100 modem has an exclamation point on it.

5.Right click it and select update driver. Select "Browse mycomputer for driver" Option at the bottom. Click on Browse to select a driver from a location, then navigate to your root drive (usually C: and sometimes D then to Program Files (x86)/Cricket/Quick Link Mobile/System

6.Make sure you navigate to this cricket wireless installation folder. It should be in C:\Program Files (x86)\Cricket\QuickLink Mobile\System. Once you find it click ok. Make sure "Include subfolders" is selected under it. Click on "next" and now it will install the driver.

7. After it installs, it will create two more Unknown devices with exclamation points. Wait a couple of minutes for the system to finish up installing that one before you continue with this instructions.

8. Now repeat steps 5 and 6 above for each of the two unknown devices until there are no more devices with exclamation points in device manager.

9. Now open Up Cricket Wireless application on your desktop or start menu, and continue with the normal modem activation of the wizard that appears. That's it! It will now detect the modem and activate it. Allowing you to use it.

10. Go and find whoever said you couldn't use this modem on 64-bit systems and punch them in the face.

11. Call me so I can punch them in the face again.

12. Enjoy your newly installed UTStarcom UM100 cricket modem on your 64 bit system. Ask Cricket to update their website with this information. Punch them in the face too for the sake of completeness

There is a yellow exclaimation on my network adapter in device manager

This not necessarily cause for alarm. You can try to reinstall the driver for the device to see if that clears out the exclamation mark and, most cases, it will.
The exclamation mark simply means that Windows has found some sort of problem with the device. Double-click the adapter and see what the Device Manager's status says about it. This can, generally, point you in the right direction on what is wrong.
If reinstalling the driver doesn't work then post what the Device Manager status is for the device.

I have a linksys WRT5G2 wireless and I upgraded my computer from vista to windows 7 and now my linksys doent work what can i do

I'm sure the router still works fine. You probably just need a driver for your wireless adapter.

Open up your device manager. If you don't know how to do this..it's laid out here:

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/windows7/ht/device-manager-cp-windows-7.htm

Look under "Network Adapters" and see if there are any yellow exclamation points next to anything. If there is, you probably need a driver for that adapter. You will need to provide the make/model of the computer if you can not locate and install the driver yourself.

If there are no problems with the drivers..you may need to reconfigure your wireless network settings.

This site gives you a good rundown of how to do that.

My friend has an acer an she is trying to put the network adapter that were originaly on the computer becaus her boyfriend deleted it

Hi,
If I am understanding you. Then all that was done. Was to remove the drivers for them. So they won't show up. However they will appear with exclamation point in device manager.
(start/run/devmgmt.msc) then we just need to reinstall the drivers. to help you identify the needed driver check here http://support.acer.com/us/en/default.aspx. they can be stored on a flash drive and select update driver and point to the flash drive for the needed files.

hope this helps

Not detected wireless

I will do my best to help you with this concern.

1. go to Device Manager and check all drivers if nothing is missing...if yellow exclamation point.. found-update specified driver

2. In device manager under network adapter is where you check the driver if there's no icon on it like exclamation point..

3. if all drivers are updated-tried to connect to the network.
4. if this is a laptop. make sure the radio button/ wireless switch is on.. in connecting the network.
5. if this is a desktop, make sure the wireless adapter is working fine.

6. if still unable to connect try to contact your service provider and make sure you have the right WEP/ network key to connect to your network.

I hope this will help you.

Hi, I have an Acer TravelMate 2420. And every time I install windows XP it, for some reason, cannot find the wireless network hardware. And installing the driver seems to be useless as well. Any suggestion...

Try right-clicking on My Computer, go to Manage, then go into Device Manager. Inside Device Manager's list, do you see any devices with a yellow exclamation point? If not, expand the "Network adapters" section and see what's listed. It's possible that there is no wireless adapter in that laptop (unless you're sure there is one). Another possibility is that the wireless adapter is there, but not functional, faulty, or just plain broken. If the device is there and working, it should show up in Device Manager as an installed device; if it's there, but not working, it'll show up with an exclamation point. If it's not in the list at all, it's probably broken or the laptop doesn't have a wireless card.

I would check in device manager (control panel) and see if the network card is listed. It probably has a yellow exclamation point next to it. If there is an exclamation point there, then right click the card and click uninstall. Next, using your wifi to access the internet, download the latest network card driver from the PC vendor website / Motherboard vendor site / discrete network card site.
Install the network card driver and you should be back in business.
