Question about Yahoo Messenger
My pc is running on Vista. When I tried to use my webcam thru Yahoo Messenger, the error messages" The webcam does not support the required image size" and "sorry, no webcam was found on your system" showed. However, on the Device Manager, under Imaging Devices, "USB 2.0 Camera" is being detected. What do I need to do to make this webcam work with ym? This works on ym on my friend's laptop that is running on XP and this webcam is Vista compatible as well.
Open your yahoo messenger, then click on messenger tab===> My Webcam ===> (Web cam windows will open) ===> File menu===> References (Preferences will open) at the left side there is list withthe title Category. In this list select Webcam Broadcast. go to camera settings===> Capture Source, select USB Video Device in drop down list. apply===>Ok.............. and enjoy
