I have a Sony handycam hdr-pj50 camcorder. When I load a SD card a flashing amber colored card with slash comes on the screen and also a white text in the upper right hand corner flashes this code. C:

The E61 is an internal error code shown when the motor is not moving. I will look up the specific details when I get to the shop and update this with the required fix.

Most mics will work if the plug fits the socket on camera and it fits on the hot shoe okay, I never use Sony mics on my Sony camera, you end up paying for the name, not the item.
