They are and I believe they will stay in use as long as there is mud to tackle. These are good for off road trails that are muddy and difficult to handle. Visit truck tyres for your tire requirements, we have a lot to offer and we have quality tires since we are the Biggest Wholesaler and Sole/Main Distributor of tires to include 4x4. You can eliminate the hassle of going to the tire store and buying what you need with our online order and pay option. We will deliver your tire to your doorstep in UK and Ireland. We also offer tires for agricultural, truck and light truck, plant and industrial, earth mover, car, van and lawn, ATV and municipal from well known manufacturers.

Backing out of driveway it seemed to stop moving when I turned the wheels at idle like breaks on. Noticed was in 4x4 mode and changed to awd, still doing it

what kind of 4x4 is it. you may have bad cv joints up front and under full load they are seizing which is causing the motor to stop. Can you put it in 2 wheel drive and does it do the same thing. Also, maybe your tires are too big or the rims are not for the vehicle and so your tires are rubbing during full steering.

Mudding 4x4

This is because the 1500 series is considered light duty regardless of whether it is 2x4 or 4x4. When you add the large mud tires and wheels to the vehicle, that alone stresses the hubs and transfer cases. Add in the overevvving and sudden start-stop jolts of mudding, and you have all the making of drive train failure. If you want to play big boy games, get big boy equipment.

2005 F150 4x4 crewcab with 42K miles on it. I have a loud grinding in the front axle area at all speeds . The noise comes and goes. Also have a vibration which feels like the big tires but vibrtation will...

If you are engaging your 4 WD at over 55, that in itself may be a problem. Driving over 50 in 4wd may not be a good idea and almost impossible if you are in 4wd Low. You will be straining the rpm limits in 4 wd Low - and everything else in your drive train. It will also be a strain in 4wd High to a lesser extent. (I am assuming you are talking MPH)

I have a 2004 GMC 2500hd 4x4 lifted with 37" tires, my power steering does not work unless the truck is moving. is that normal, or there a fix?

Because of the big tires, it takes more power than the system has to turn them while sitting still. The system was designed to work with the proper size tires only. A new steering pump may be a little stronger than yours since it is not worn any.
