Question about ASUS Eee 4G Notebook
My notebook will turnon but the screen is black.... I've tried repeatedly pressing the F2 button, but nothing will work.
That could be a video chip problem or display problem.
press and hold "F, J" buttons and then press the power button while holding the F J button. Now release the power button not the F J button. Release FJ buutons after you get a display.Still no display suspect the above items. Hope this helps.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Try to unplug the battery, wait 10-15 seconds and plug it again. Sometimes it gets stucked with hardware issues and this is a kind of "reset". It doesn't affect your data.

use the auto find function for new users and this will install a Auto Find Navigation Tools on to your computer,
Let the tool find your motherboard and it will give you a list of the drivers available and Manuals as well
There is a NB Probe available for this model and it will tell you all about the devices and the operating temperatures of each device installed,ie,hard drives, fan speed and temperature,
memory installed ,cpu usage etc......
Very simple to use and its free thanks ASUS

SOURCE: Computer does not start up
Please reset the system... Disconnect the power adaptor. Remove your battery, press several times on the Power button of the Laptop without the battery and power.. and let me know.

You need not to press F2 or tab or escape unless you need to do so. If your system is ok, it'll automatically boot up, but if there's boot up problem with your system, then that's different. Thanks for using FixYa.

Press Fn + F2
"Fn" stands for "function", is located at the bottom-left portion of your keyboard.
If you notice, the color of the wifi icon is different than the letter keys... the color should match the Fn button
This will turn on/off your wireless adapter :)
Hope this helps!
