Hot tub pump will not start back up after cleaning hot tub

When you say the pump won't start back up, do you mean the electrical side of things and there is just no power going to the pump. Or are you saying that the pump is on but not pumping water.

I am going to think you mean the pump is on but not moving water. This is common after you clean and drain your hot tub. You have what is referred to as an airlock in your hot tub line. It is easy to remove the airlock by simply opening one of the unions near the pump. This will allow the air to release and water flow to begin again.

Make sure also that you have cleaned the hot tub filters, if they are dirty and reduce water flow that could shutdown your hot tub pump as well.

If it is the electrical side of things make sure your GFCI has not tripped and maybe you just need to reset this. If it is anything further on the electrical side make sure you involve a professional.

  • open a union to release any airlocks.
  • clean your hot tub filters.
  • check to make sure your GFCI is not tripped.

Balboa hot tub wiring diagram

CAUTION: Electrical work and repairs can be dangerous, especially around water. There is a risk of shock or electrocution, which could result in serious injury or death. We strongly advise that hot tub electrical wiring be referred to a licensed electrician. Local code requirements for wiring vary and may differ from the educational examples on this web site. The local code regulations must be followed, with permits and inspections obtained. The installer should read and follow the hot tub owner's manual and associated electrical component owner's manuals and instructions.

What does L1 error code mean on an Electrolux dishwasher

The only solution I can come up with for this one is that L1 is a Leak Detector problem-When water is detected under the tub. I spent an hour researching this issue. I've never come across this one before.

On the fp3222-11 well pump it said it needs 230v, is that on both hot leads, that each lead has to have 230v reading?

That means when you check your supply voltage it will be 230V from hot to hot.(L1-to L2) You would still read 115V to neutral on each leg.

Have a tork time switch (mechanical) and have question on how to ground it? Also help in understanding their wiring diagram on box cover..

They are simply grounded by a screw inside usually on the metal box... it will be identified by its green color...simply connect the ground wire to that green screw...

L1 will be the black or "hot" wire and L2 or N will be the white wire...
L1 will feed through and be the "hot" coming out switched...normally open is when the switch needs to make to send power out and normally closed means that when the switch makes it will stop the power going out...
