In menus you browse to the service tab, then serivice diagnostics. Go to NVRAM reset and perform the NVM reset.
Before you do that, print out a configuration page if you want to rememebr the network settings. It will set the IP address back to default also.

There is an error in the in the server password or a template setting.
Here is the documentation. Pretty straight forward

Login to the Server was not possible during Scan to Server file transfer.
arrwup.gifInitial Action Refer to BSD 16.1.
Power OFF/ON
arrwup.gif Procedure Set the login name and password in the destination server.
Set the attributes of the Job Template file correctly.
From a client PC, set the same account as the above as a resource using CW.

this code means your scanner has failed to setup correctly. this could be a problem that you would need a qualified tech to service the copier. there is nothing that you can do after you power off and power on (popo) the copier. it could be voltage, pwb board, or a binding scanner assembly.

You have to turn that off , it is called a banner Page, I will sent you a few ways of disabling it.
When enabled, the Banner Page prints for each job. The Banner Page consists of the following:

  • Username
  • Job Name
  • Date
  • Time
  1. From the WorkCentre, enter the Tools mode. See the Related Items below for additional information. The Tools Mode screen will be displayed.
  2. Select [System Settings] from the Touch Screen. The System Settings screen will be displayed.

    NOTE: Depending on the model and configuration, there will either be 2 or 3 main screens available in System Settings. For example, the initial screen will be noted as System Settings screen 1 of 2 or 1 of 3.

  3. Select the [Job Sheets] button. The Job Sheets screen will be displayed.
  4. Select the [Banner Sheets] button. The Banner Sheets screen will be displayed.
  5. Select [Enabled] or [Disabled].
  6. Select [Save].
  7. Select [Exit Tools].

NOTE: The Tools mode is password protected. The factory set default password is 1111. It is recommended to modify the default password. See the Related Items below for additional information. I need more information, like is it scanning using the SMB protocol or FTP. Are you using active directory, etc. Usually, when they just quit, it is due to a Microsoft security patch, or a software firewall having been enabled. If you're sure that it is neither of the above, try browsing to the Xerox via the IP address, go to the properties tab, services, network scanning, file repository set-up, and see if the login name used for network scanning is qualified: (i.e. - domain\username) Often, in a business environment, that will help.

Check and see if your using the PS driver for that machine, If so switch to the PCL driver. The PS one has been known to run slow.

Xerox WorkCentre 4150 Error code: 20-800/The machine cannot save the fax settings to memory. Xerox service is required to inspect the backup battery. Faxing is disabled, printing and all other machines...


One of 2 things.
EIther you have to enter the Fax User memory, Or the memory battery has failed and needs replaced.
Here is what the service documentation says.

(4150) During a power-off period, the machine has lost its user memory. Check that the backup battery, PL 1.10 Item 5 is holding its charge of about +3V. If necessary, install a new battery, PL 1.10 Item 5.

Xerox WorkCentre 4150, 3 vertical white lines in all feeder scans


the problem is in the scanner, open it up and see if you can find any smudges, and clean any obstruction, any ink, liquid eraser residuals, can cause this part to appear as lines on your copied faxed image.
dont concentrate on the printer this is a scanner problem

Xerox 4150 Workcentre, when xeroxing and pringt copies are dark and gray. I have clean the the window but still grayish.


Sorry I didnt see your post a while back.
You shold call and have the firmware updated on that machine.
There are several firmware updates to the 4150 that resolve a lot of problems with the machine/.

Toner installation error


take it out and try again, there are often adhesive tabs protecting certain areas of cartridges, that need to be removed, and that are not obvious
