Question about Nikon Coolpix 4500 Digital Camera
Nikon coolpix S51 says memory card is write protected. I have tried other memory cards and none of them are locked. Seems to be the camera. What do I do?
It's not the camera. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

There is a tab on the memory card so you will you need to remove it from the camera and change the position of this tab to "unlock" it.
You need to unlock the card itself. Take it out and look for a tab on the left. It should be pushed up.
