SOURCE: my printer only prints color..have installed new

Unlike most printers where the print cartridge and printheads are attached and sold together, the ESP 3 has a separate printhead from the cartridges.

Remoe both cartridges. Then look at the place where the cartridges sit. There is a latch you push down in the back. This will release the printhead to allow it to be removed.

Remove the print head

Take a cotton swap and a little alcohol and clean the printhead of all ink. Repeat this until it is totally clean.

Make sure the printhead is dry and clean of all ink and alcohol.

Replace the printhead.

Place cartridges in and test.

If this does not work, then you need a new printhead for this printer.

here is an example of how to remove and replace printheads for thsi unit.

to gt a new printhead you must contact kodak
http://www.kodak.com/go/contact

probably as expensive or almost as expensive as a new printer.

The seperate printhead from the carts are why kodak can have their ink so cheap. Those other brands cost that extra 15-20$ for the attached new head with each cart.

SOURCE: I have a kodak ESP-3

Inkjet printers do not like being left unused.
The color print head may be blocked. Try several deep cleaning of the print head to see if it can clear the blocked print nozzles.
If none of this works then the print head needs to be replaced.
A new cartridge will not solve this problem.
NOTE the print head is not a cheap item, you may consider putting the money towards a new and better printer.

SOURCE: My printer is not printing black only colours

there must not be as same as you are saying but it may perhaps happen that, live cartridge doesnt perform due to improper heating of that printer. its heating mechanism may have failed, go to its care center and get treated...

Kodak esp c110 -the black cartridge do not print and it is a new one

Is it a genuine Kodak unit. Often these printers are designed so they do not work with refills. If it is a Kodak, see if you can do a hard reset of printer electronics so it will work properly.

Why won't printer print black even though there is a new black cartridge installed?

Did you check printer properties in computer? Does it say "color"?
Another possibility is that black ink side of your printer head is clogged you can try cleaning function on the printer, use cleaning kids, and if all failed, replace printer head. You can buy one on Amazon or Kodak sites

Will not print in black.

1st clean heads, on printers menu, then check if you have instaled non canon ink cartridges, you maybe burn out ink printheads. ONLY USE ORIGINAL INK CARTRIGES ALWAYS.this a normal failure on NON CANON INK SPARES.
