If it is no longer under warranty, locate the convergence ICs which will be large black ICs attacked to a heatsink. Try resoldering the pins on these ICs first. If that does not resolve the problem, replace the ICs. These should be marked STKxxx.

Keep me posted,
Dan

The top of the picture is bowing down, and the bottom of the picture is bowing up, and throwing the convergence out. What is causing this?

The 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all it resistors are the cause and is dead. The tv convergence board require these parts to be replaced to solved the convergence problems. The shop will cost u $300-350 for parts and labors.

Sony KV-32FS13:Pictured slightly bowed down at sides

Your symptoms sound like you have a problem in the pincushion circuit.
I would recommend you have a technician take a look at this, as this can be a tricky circuit to trouble shoot.

Picture bows in towards middle

YOU HAVE A ALIGNMENT PROBLEM, ON YOUR BOW OR PINCUSION, OR A BAD RESISTOR, THE COLORS NOT LINING UP COULD BE A CONVERGENCE PROBLEM. I ADVISE YOU TO LET A EXPERT TO THIS DUE TO THE HIGH VOLATE ON THE CRT(PICTURE TUBE)

PICTURE CURVED

I have the same problem, it is called the "bow tie" effect, I read in a forum a couple of years back it is because they started computer sodering instead via humans and it was not successful during that time. I bought mine in 02. I was hoping to find a picture of the the board and the specific soder joint on this forum. I hate to pay alot for a tech, (specially since it was mitsibitsi's poor craftmanship) and a 65" is not something you throw in the truck and take to them. Good Luck.

Bow like image

You likely have bad convergence output ic's type #STK392-570.  These can be purchased at UED 800-648-6657.  You will need to remove the board they are mounted on to be able to usolder the old ones and resolder the new ones.  These will be mounted on heat sinks.

Picture bowed on sides

how badly is it bowed on both sides? if it is too much. ther is a fuse resistor that is gone bad near the coil in the east west section. you need to replace that. if it is not too much..you need to get into the service mode to fix that..good luck
