I have a Poloroid LCD flat screen, 42", bought it at Walmart 13 months ago. around 2 months ago the picture stopped staying, the screen goes to black. We have sound but no picture. we were re-booting and getting it to come back, but now we turn on and hear a little pop and the screen never comes up. We see the log0 and then goes black. Any suggestions?

Hi pdooley1, I will be happy to help, We need to check the backlight, the easiest way to do this is, 
  1. Turn tv on to a point you have sound.
  2. Take a flashlight or a lamp with a bare bulb and shine it on the screen.
  3. Look very closely at the screen and see if you see a dark video image.
If you can see an image you have a bad backlight inverter. let me know what you find and I can assist with replacement. Please rate this solution. lone99star
