You to roll back is System Restore, or uninstall whatever has caused it to load into safe mode.

SOURCE: Describe your HP Pavilion dv9000z

Hi melissamhahn..
Try this solution to your problem
*************************************
To fix an unresponsive touchpad on your laptop, reactivate it by using the Function key on the keyboard and the Fn key.

This process is different for each computer manufacturer.
If unsure which Function key enables and disables the touchpad, try each one at a time and then
attempt to use the touchpad after each one.

A...Locate the "Fn" key of the laptop keyboard.
The "Fn" key has different colored text or the key is a different color.
B...Locate the function (F1 through F12) key at the top of the keyboard that disables or enables the touchpad on the laptop.
The key typically has an icon that resembles a touchpad with a finger touching it or a touchpad with a diagonal line through it.
C...Press both the "Fn" and touchpad Function key at the same time to reactive the touchpad on your laptop.
Move your finger along the touchpad to verify that it works. Press the combination at any time to disable the touchpad again.
Note: Mac computers use "F2" to enable and disable the touchpad.
D. Sony Vaio Users: Start>Settings>Control Panel>Double click the Mouse icon.
Look at the top left hand side of the page, at the top and make sure that the "Tapping" box is unchecked, if it is checked then, you will uncheck it.
Please take time to rate me thumbs up

Boot from safemode. Tap F8 upon turning ON. Advance option will appear. Select safemode. Once loaded in safemode do the system restore. Go to start/all programs/accessories/system tools/system restore. Select the previous date where in you were still able to login normally.

Hope this works.

press f8
Choose your operating system
then press R

and that will let you repair your windows automatically.

Dell Mini 10

If you haven't tried system restore (found in accesories folder in start menu) you should give that a try. Go back as far as you can. If that doesn't work, Dell's have a recovery partition much like HP's PCs that can be found in the start menu as well. Be sure to back up all important files as it will completely wipe your hard drive.

Installing HP Printer Drivers on an Inspiron mini 10

lmao have you tried using the universal drivers they have... seem to work for most things when nothing works...

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/ProductList.jsp?locale=en_US&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=503548

but really the mini's are new ground for manufacturers that are used to tech support being able to troubleshoot issues they didnt "forsee" in the board room.

Good Luck and dont forget to rate me,

Start up problem with HP laptop.

Try to read this link:

Try the "Recovering from the recovery disks" section but it only works if you have a special partition that cannot be re-format/re-partitioned inside called "EISA partition". all your data will be gone though.

If the squares are gone in safe mode it's safe bet that it's your graphics card driver. Uninstall drivers in add/remove programmes and re-boot your pc and see if the correct driver is re-installed. If at all possible it's best to use the driver from your notebook's manufacturer web site.
