Question about Gateway Solo M675 Notebook
When I run video related processes the fan overheats and the computer automatically shuts down. I have had it looked at and was told is could be a power setting issue but that did not seem to fix anything. The fan was replaced about a year ago and when checked last month was clean.
Have you tried a cooling pad? there are many usb or externally powered multi fanned pads/trays the P.c. can sit on, cool air is directed into the intake.
How are you using the Laptop? is it in a confined space? or on a warm surface? as you are well aware the slightest increase in core temperature will cause safety shut down.
I had a friend with the very same problem he was using his machine inside the case/bag (Silly Billy)
Hope this sorts it!
