Question about NEC MultiSync MT1050 Multimedia Projector
There is a dark yellow/light green stripe on the right side of my projection, and very noticable displacement of all yellowish colors.
I understand realigning the color "guns" is tricky and complex, but
returning it to the manufacturer is not an option. I need step by step
instructions on how to either use the menu to align my colors, or
do it manually.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

take a look here: http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,1697,1049289,00.asp "... The others, however, have lost portions or all of their blue channels. TI's theory is that the shorter wavelength and higher energy of the blue light apparently causes the organic polarizing material in the LCD to get lightburn much faster. TI showed us a damaged LCD panel that controlled blue light transmission, and there was a large spot in the center that was apparently burned out..."

I can assist you with that if you want. It is very tedious, but can be done. You need a cross hatch pattern generator or something with vertical and horizontal lines to lineup the LCD Panels again. Tricky little procedure if your not familiar with it. Let me know if i can assist you and hopefully save you agravation at the same time. Thanks Jay

A trapezoid can be corrected using the "keystone" feature. This is used when your projector is located above or below some angle other than 90° to the centre of the screen.
As for the second tone, that may correct with the keystone.
