Type *#7370# into the phone while on.
Remember to back-up your data using the Nokia PC Suite.
Also make sure you remove your memory card if you have one, and remove the password from the memory card before you try to reformat.

1. Switch off the phone. //Erm..nothing happens when its off..
2. Hold down *#7370# button. // No-one cant press 7 buttons at same time, and there is 7 and # twice, what colour of mushrooms have you eaten?
3. While holding these buttons, press the power button // 8 buttons same time? that goes too far...
4. When the message ‘Formatting’ //it just starts normally...this must be a joke.

Found these in the N95USERS fourm. Note: the defualt code is 12345

SOURCE: Formatting N95 Nokia Phone

WARNING
When updating software on Mobs, be sure to:
HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY INSERTED;
PUT IT ON GENERAL PROFILE;
TURN OFF YOUR PIN NUMBER;
CONNECT YOUR CHARGER TO YOUR MOB AND SWITCH IT ON;
DO NOT ----- DO NOT ---- TOUCH YOUR PHONE WHILE THE UPDATE IS GOING ON;
THIS CAN TAKE 30 MINUTES OR MORE.
And obviously don't unplug the phone from the PC.
Be patient, you may have to do a restart or two on your mob afterwards. Even remove the battery to get it going again (not recommended). But give it plenty of time.
--------------------------------------
It is also wise not to use your PC while updating software, just in case the PC freezes.
If the PC freezes during an update, you're up the creek without a paddle...

I did an update on a Sony Eric 810i it took nearly two hours.
--------------------------------------
More... Your phone turns itself on and off, sometimes more than once while updating software, you should leave it well alone during the update.
You could try this, but don't hold much hope:
Press * 3 send at the same time and turn the phone on. Keep them pressed until the reset screen appears.
Give it time to reset.
Yes! I know, you need someone to press the ON button.
Or try:
Hard reset code *#7780#

SOURCE: i am using Nokia N95 ordinary phone,i formatted my

Among all the mobiles I and my friends have used, Nokia is one of the best except it's price. The error “memory full delete some data” is not only with this Model but with several Nokia handsets as well. N95 has an built-in large internal memory as compared to other models, but when the RAM has not enough memory this error happens, sometimes corrupted files create this, sometimes virus so there are several solutions, but first follow these steps:
Check and delete the following:
-Call logs
-Messages (Large bluetooth receives)
-Media stored on the phone, not on the card
-Old Calendar entries
-Browser bookmarks and saved pages
-Apps on the phone; reinstall them to the Memory Card!
-Unwanted contacts
If this doesn't end the error, back up your stuffs using PC suite or directly to your Memory card then reset the phone using
*#7370# or 12345. Good luck

How to reseta nokia n95 memory

you can do a soft reset that will reset the memory for your nokia n95 . Here are a couple of codes to soft/hard reset/format a Nokia N95 mobile device: Soft reset code *#7370# Hard reset code *#7780# If the hard format code mentioned aboive does not work, try the following manual method to hard reset/format Nokia N95: + Turn off the mobile device. + Press and Hold the following three buttons: the green Call Answer button, the ?*? button, and the number ?3′ button. + While holding these buttons, turn on the phone and keep holding the keys untill the mobile phone restarts and prompts you to enter details. (note a hard reset will erase all data that is not saved to a sim or card) a soft reset only resets the memory and the phone. it will not erase your data that you saved

Phone restart several time(Nokia N95) HELP!!!

Here i think your phone memory is affected with virus and you have to format it once if it is attacked.
Because virus scanner are not going to delete it.

Let me know exactly, what is the problem?
If it is saying Phone memory is full and a pop up will be blinked to delete some data, then your phone is attacked.
So try to format it. not just restore factory setting

Hard reset your phone by keying in *#7370* and putting in your code (default is 12345)

You format the Mass Memory by going Menu>File Manager>Mass Memory>Options>Format.

Hope this helps! Thanks.

N95 phne

well, formating your phone has two aspects to it.it could be either formatting your phone itself or your memory card only. formatting your memory card can be done in the memory card program on your phone, but formatting your phone requires you to type in a code in your stand-by screen ( *#7370#) Formatting your phone memory will delete all settings, messages, calendar items, contacts etc.
