Toshiba Satellite A45-S120 laptop battery does not charge

Sounds like you need a new battery. Try removing the battery and running the machine on mains power. If that works, you know the charger is ok. Its usual for batteries to deteriorate over a few years, so my money would go on a new one.

I have a HP G60. When i hit the power button automatically a grey screen pops up and I dont hear any boot attempt from the laptop or fan. just the cd drive adjusting. and it stays like this no buttons...

windows Vista or W7? (oldest G60 is 2008 G60-100)
so never any text at the screen battery main out.
run on AC power only, batteries are very unreliable things.
no text , like "Hit F10 to enter BIOS" as seen for 10 years. now.
this shows if the PC is alive or not. is it?
if that fails. show text then check for a dead black lamp.
no fan running means no power or its packed solid in lent.
try a new power pack.? the fan must run. or there is no power.
battery out tests ALL, leave it out. so we dont have 2 problems.
run on AC power only.
i use a thing called a volt meter to see of the 19vdc actual lands
on the main board. from that powre pack.
there are many steps, after 19vdc hits main board
we strip the whole PC down to PROVE no modules are shorted.

please test the LT with battery MAIN removed.
and report action of screen, any thing there.
and if FAN works, as it must. or will overheat FAST>
ever clean the vents on the PC? (with can-o-air)

My Power Shot SX130 IS wont turn on... I dont know why, yesterday was working and all the sudden today I tried to Power On and doesn't do anything. I changed the batteries .... HELP!

Things to check first for a camera that won't turn on are battery contact points, and micro switches that are located on the battery and memory card doors. Troubleshooting tips on other things that need to be checked may be seen here. These tips won't work for every case, but they're worth a try.

Is it alright to keep the battery in the battery compartment even if it's fully charged or I have to remove it when using AC power?

Hello,
There is no need of removing the battery from your notebook. Only thing you have to remember is dont use your notebook so much in ac power it can reduce your battery life. Use your laptop in battery till the battery power gets drained and then connect to ac power for charging and at the same time use your notebook in ac power. But avoid much connecting your notebook in ac power. It helps in maintiaining your battery stable.

Problem During Boot-Up

several things it could be but im going to look at the obvious the battery and cord hook up
laptops when plugged into contstant 120 power the battery is supposed to go into stand by mode and shut battery off so power dont leak into battery
if you have low battery with it plugged into 120 the comp will still think the battery is powering the laptop if battery dead then comp shuts down lack of power

other thing is somehow you caught a virus that reboots comp from dos screen mode
the main thing i always ask is what was the last thing that happened before it did what its doing now
example= was there a power surge pop up screens ect.
