SOURCE: DBXR463ED1WW GE Dryer Runs for Hours

on which setting are you running it. If you are running this on the timed setting then its obviously a faulty timer. Sounds to me though that you are running it on its automatic cycle. If this is the case it could be a couple of things. Somewhere on ur beast there is a moisture sensor, this is what advances the timer and tells it to stop. This may be faulty or it could be that ur vents are indeed clogged which would trap the moisture in and result in the long dry times. The simplest way to go about this one would be to clear the air flow and see if the problem persists.( this means pulling out the dryer clearing all the vents, if using the flexible ones make sure they are not binding up while setting dyer in place. Also if there is a vent that runs through the wall as well you can clear this by removing exterior vent). good luck

SOURCE: GE electric dryer DBXR463ED1WW not working

Since you have power to your dryer check these two items:
Door switch If the door switch or the door-switch actuator is defective, the dryer won't work and you need to replace the failed component. The switch is inside the dryer main housing near the door frame. Sometimes you need to raise or open the top or front of the dryer to reach the switch.

Thermal fuse On many dryers, there's a thermal fuse (a heat-sensitive fuse that blows if the dryer overheats) mounted to the exhaust duct inside the back cover panel. The fuse is about an inch long. It's usually embedded in black resin and mounted in a white plastic housing.

If the fuse has blown, it has no continuity. When this happens, your dryer either just stops heating, or it doesn't work at all. Be sure to inspect the venting/heating system before replacing the fuse to put the dryer back into operation. (You can't re-set this type of fuse.)

SOURCE: Hi, my GE model DBXR463ED1WW dryer is LOUD!

Roaring could be an over firing burner or fan related. Squeak or rumbles are bearings. Is the noise all the time or only when the burner is on? Eric

GE dryer dcvh680ej0ms runs 3 minutes and shuts off and resets time

On esimple thing to try is clean the dryer moisture sensing bars inside the dryer. Wet clothes rub against these bars and tell the control the clothes is still damp. IF no moisture is detected then she shuts down. So what goes wrong? Dryer sheets have a waxy buildup on them which tends to coat the bars. Moisture cannot penetrate the barrier and therefore the control thinks all is kosher and shuts down. Energy saver feature don't ya know. LOL Rocket scientists no longer have a space shuttle program so they engineering dryers now. LOL
Houston we have a problem.

Dryer turns on and rotates. However, does not dry clothes completely. Cycle signals wet, then damp, cool down and finally dry,but clothes are still wet. Sometimes the dryer works fine and completely dries...

This problem may be the result of a dirty lent filter which if clogged will short cycle the dryer and the clothes will still be damp when done. Also a dirty exhaust pipe (usally 4") will prevent the clothes from drying correctly. Make sure that the air is leaving the machine. To do this you have to go outside when the machine is running.

Clothes not drying but back panel of dryer extremely hot

Disconnect power. Next, you will have to remove the screws passing through the front panel into the front edge of the top so the top can be swung back. Remove the screw on each side near the top which are holding the front panel onto each side panel. Set the front panel off to the side. (most times you do not have to remove any wires to do this) Use your long thin arms to reach under the left side of the drum to unhook the drive belt. Now, you can remove the drum out the front of the dryer. Inspect the heating coils for breakage. Replace them with a new element set WE11x10007. (includes instructions, but don't stretch them as much as they say, so that you can leave a little tension on them as you install them. You don't want them too long) Replace the rear drum bearing WE3X75 to get rid of the squeak. Inspect the front drum slides (which support the drum at the top of the front panel) to see if they need replacement also.
