Question about Canon I960 InkJet Photo Printer
My i960 printer won't print blue ink. Things that should be blue print out as pink. I cleaned and deep cleaned the printer head a few times. Still not change. I replaced both the cyan and photo cyan cartridges. With the new cartridges installed, the ink levels for those two only report as half-full. And it still doesn't print out blue. They're pushed down all the way. What should I do?
Your problem is the print head. You can buy one from Canon for about $95, or find them new from dealers on Ebay for $60 to $70. For a less expensive fix, try to remove the print head and clean it. (You don't need any tools, just remove the ink tanks and pull the print head forward and out. Over time, the receivers tend to get dry & crusted ink on them. Note that the inks used are fast drying inks to keep your pictures, etc. from smudging after you print them. Try not to use solvent. I use q-tips and hot water, then dry using another q-tip. If this does not work, there are commercial cleaning kits available for about $10. Short of that, your choice is to replace the print head or the printer itself. My i960 prints such good quality color prints and normal color printing, that I would fix it rather than replace the printer. I hope the easy cleaning does it for you!

Is the head carriage removable?...if so remove the head carriage and duck the head into a clean tissue. if all the ink cartridge colors appears to the tissue.the problem of you printer is the head carriage..you can buy to a computer store nearest you...(head carriage package with inks). but if blue color never appear on the tissue use ****** machine or kit to **** the blue color on the head. the cartridge head is where the ink comes out when printing.after sucking it, duck it to a tissue again.if the blue color appears already, then, your problem is solved. try nw to print.
