Question about Sony Cybershot DSC-T200 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Pictures are pink

All of my pictures have a pink tint to them also. Canon powershot s410. All that should be white and natural light in my photos now has a pink tint. The pictures were fine in the camera and when read using the base that came with the camera. Now, the base was lost and we got an external USB reader for the mini duo stick...all the pictures got the pink tint when using the reader. Tried two different readers and managed to corrupt three memory sticks with over 1000 pictures.

Any good editing programs that will take that unnatural pink hue out and put white/bright in its place?? The pictures are corrupt as are the sticks now. Thanks to these portable "convenient" readers. Bah.

Not sure why the Canon powershot text is in the above. Also, my camera is a sony cybershot DSC-T1 model. Thanks for any comments that may be available!

Well, thank you! Hopefully I'll get this fixed just under their March 31, 2009 deadline for service!

I've submitted the ticket for service and will be sent the instructions to my email shortly. They charge $15 to look at it.

The pictures were pink before the screen got the classic CCD Imager stripey pink look to it.

So, any idea how to salvage my pink pictures? I have photoshop elements 2.0 and iphoto...not the most sophisticated photo editing software. Any suggestions for a good software (for purchase or freeware) that might be able to autocorrect that pink out of my pictures?

I have about 600 pictures that definitely need correction and others that can let slide. Very unfortunate...and tedious to do one by one.

Thanks again for the tremendous point in the right direction to, at least, get the camera working again! Have a good one!

Hello! i own a canon s410 powershot, the camera got broken,i was given a canon a530 powershot and i want to use the software that came with s410,is that possible?my next question is about the the windows...

No, it's not likely to be compatible. The problem is that Canon did not update the drivers for many of its older cameras under the Vista operating system. So you're likely to run into problems downloading directly from the camera using the software. But there are other options, such as using an inxepensive card reader (can get them online for $2) to download your photos:

But back to your S410, what exactly is wrong with it? By chance if it's taking black, pink, or distorted pictures, please see this:

It's the LCD itself. This will not affect the pictures. If you can't live with it, have the camera repaired.
