SOURCE: New 2 GB Memory cards say cards full when installed

The SD card may have to be reformated. You should do this in the camera you want to use the SD card with. Do not format the card with your computer.

In you manual or on the menu of your camera there is a "Format" procedure. follow that and your camera will work again (REMEMBER) if you have images on the SD card down load them before you format the card.

Once you down load the images from your camera you should reformat the card to clear it in order to shoot more images.

SOURCE: new sd card says full

Check and make sure the SD card is in all the way, it should make a clicking sound when it's in all the way. I had this same problem with my Vivicam 8025. Hope this helps!

Do you have pics on the internal memory? You must format the internal memory with no card in the camera. Then, format the card.

SOURCE: When I turn my camera

A card that size is actually an SDHC card. SD and SDHC cards fit the same slots, but they are slightly different. Many cameras won't work with the SDHC (high capacity) cards. SDHC is not backwards compatible.

I expect your camera just won't work with this kind of card. It is often difficult to find out the maximum capacity memory card a camera will use, as today's cards are much larger that those available when the manual for the camera was written.

SD Card Problems with Vivitar Vivicam 5118!

What size is the memory card. If it's larger than 4GB then it won't work in the 5118.
Try using another card. Don't format it in your computer but do format it in the camera before trying to take pictures.

Everytime i put my camrea on it says ''wright project'' how can i get it off

You declined to specify what model Olympus camera, so I'm assuming it uses SD/SDHC cards. I'm also assuming it actually says "write protect."
SD and SDHC cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the metal contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card.

You didn't specify the make and model of your camera, so I'm going to assume it uses SD cards.

I get the message that the memory is full. In fact the camera does not recognize anymore the SD card. This SD card still work on other cameras and my PC. What is doing wrong? what can I do on my own? Thank...

Hi Robert, can you try this please. Insert the SD card in side the camera & then open the Menu option. Now go to the setting and select the SD card as default storage location. If the card not showing there then do reset the camera first then try to find this option. Please let me know the result.

Internal memory is full

Hello,

If you have SD card already but same message. Make sure that the Image storage is set to AUTO not Internal Memory. You may try steps below.

1. Press the Menu button
2. Select the Settings Tab (it has camera icon w/ tool or wrench icon)
3. Scroll down until you select IMage storage then press OK
4. select Auto for SD card and OK.

Thanks.

Camera card said it is full

Does the memory card have a 'write-protect' lock on it? on an SD card this is a small plastic lever on the top right edge.
Have you tried to format the card with the camera?
Can you read and write to the card with a computer and card reader?
Does this card work in any other cameras?

SD Card Wont Work

Check if the SD card is iserted properly into the camera, eventually pull it out and push it back inside the camera. Also remove camera batteries , repeat the operation, and put back batteries.
If the card still does not work test the card into a different device, it is not unfrequent that an SD card comes defective from factory. In this case take the card back to the retailer and a have it changed.
If the card works on a different device, then it may be that the NV3 does not support 4 GB , there is no mention about max SD format supported in camera specs, or in the manual. In this case I suggest testing a 1 or 2 Gb card at the shop, and then buying right one.
