Question about Mitsubishi WD-62725 62" Rear Projection HDTV-Ready Television

1 Answer

Timer light we can't get the tv to come on....the time light is flashing rapidly. It has happened in the past and we have either held the reset button or turned everything off and then started back up and it was ok....this time there has been no luck. Any suggestion on how to fix it or what is causing this to occur. Thanks

Our tv has been replaced....we got the extended warrinty and the part is no longer available....tv was 4 yrs old.....glad we got the extended coverage!!

I have the same problem with the timer light flashing rapidly and the TV won't power on. The equipment is a Mitsubishi WD-62725. Reset button and disconnecting power at the outlet for a period of time did not help. I have had the light engine replace 2 years ago. The original bulb is working just fine. The TV is 4 years old. According to another posting, a person with the same issue on the same TV said the part that fixes this problem is no longer available, and the TV was replaced ! Good for them! My question to them is...Was the TV replaced by Mitsubishi, Corporation or by a local service agent? I'm curious, and your experience may aid me in obtaining similar results. I don't want to have a major overhaul on my TV every 2 years and this TV is on that path. I have just over 15 months left on my 5 year extended service plan and I don't want to deal with another failure 6 months after my service plan expires.

Your main boards are bad. The FMT, DM, & Power Supply. They are no longer available, You have to have the chasis rebuilt. Mitsubishi is rebuilding these chasis. You have to pull it without any cut wires & ship to Georgia.

Hello
make a System Reset process. To do this;
If the TV will not respond to either the remote control or the front panel controls and/or will not power Off, press the SYSTEM RESET button with a pointed item like the end point of a paperclip. The TV will turn Off and the TIMER light will flash quickly for about one minute. When the TIMER light stops flashing, you may again turn on the TV. The changes you made the last time the TV was on before you used the SYSTEM RESET button may be lost, however, the changes that were previously saved are not lost.
OK.

How do i reset the projection lamp timer?

Hello
Press the "Power" button on the TV remote to turn the TV on. Press the "Display" key. Press "5," followed by the "Vol+" key, followed by the "Power" button. Wait for the service menu screen to appear on the screen. This could take anywhere from a couple of seconds up to a minute or two.
Press the "Jump" key three times in rapid succession. Press "2" nine times in rapid succession

Press "3" once, followed by the "Mute" key, followed by the "Enter" key. Wait as the screen flashes momentarily.

Press the "Power" button on the TV to exit the "Service menu" and turn the TV off.

try this ... if there is a reset button on your 'front' control panel..maybe 2 - 3 positions to the left of your blinking timer light..
try inserting the tip of a mechanical pencil or tip of a straighten paperclip into the 'tiny hole' of th ereset button ...hold pressure on that button until yout blinking light starts blinking RAPIDLY .. this
rapid blinking should continue for several seconds or a minute.
then it should stop .. may even go off ... now ..hopefully.. you will be able to turn your set on

Flashing green light

Did you try this yet

SYSTEM RESET
If the TV will not respond to either the remote control
or the front panel controls and/or will not power Off,
press the SYSTEM RESET button with a pointed item
like the end point of a paperclip. The TV will turn Off
and the TIMER light will flash quickly for about one
minute. When the TIMER light stops flashing, you may
turn on the TV again. Changes you made the last time
the TV was On before you used the SYSTEM RESET
button may be lost, however, the changes you made
previously are not lost.
POWER/TIMER Indicator
The green light is a multi-function indicator. This light
will flash rapidly for about one minute each time the TV
is plugged into the wall electrical outlet, when power
is restored after a power failure, or using the SYSTEM
RESET button. Do not attempt to turn on the TV again
during this period. Wait for the flashing to stop and
the light to turn off, before attempting to turn the TV
on. While the TV is powered on, the light illuminates
steadily. If the TV has been programmed to turn on
automatically using the Timer feature,

Timer light is flashing but tv wont turn on!

When the timer light stoped flashing the remote control would not turn on the TV. The next time the light quit flashing I held the power button in on the TV for about 5 seconds and it came on and has had no problems since then with the remote or the local TV power button.
