Please check the user-manuals section within the support page of the New Zealand Westinghouse webssite. You should be able to find your manual there if you search used it's model number.
Most models won't work when on Auto. Generally there
are push buttons under the clock and one has a picture of a hand (Like a cop
holding up his hand to say "Stop"). Press this button and it should
go back to manual mode and allow you to use the oven.
What I have said so far is pretty much a guess, based upon experience. I'm also guessing that you don't have a manual to refer to either. However, while I can't find the specific manual for your model, there is a westinghouse oven manual here:
