Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
Someone, using an All in One Remote, tried to get Closed Caption on this TV. It does not have closed caption. However, that Remote nor the Sony Remote can elininate a black screen (aout half the size of the picture screen) that constantly blocks out a port of the picture. It is not possible to turn the closed caption off, because this TV set does not have closed caption. Is there some way I can get rid of that half screen blockage? I'm sure this tricky problem can only be solved, if by anyone, by someone who has a great experise on TV remotes and TVs. The usual press the MENU key, press the SETUP key, etc. do not seem to work. I suspect the black blocking screen is trying to show closed captioning?? H-e-l-p! firstname.lastname@example.org
You must find the "All in one" remote. That will have a "display" button that needs to be pressed. You may just need to go to Radio shak and ask for an old one for a day to do it. Good Luck.
