I have a Bose PS28 Sub and cube speakers and wanting to hook it up to the HK receiver and not sure how. The cube speakers are powered from the sub. I have the original bose receiver but eliminated it due to hooking up HD 3D TV with HDMI cable. The Bose receiver would not support HDMI. Is it even possible to hook this Bose speaker setup into my receiver?

I have the acoustimas systrem and the speakers do need the sb. That's the heart of the system.
I dropped my two front cubes and neither work. If you would be willing to sell yours at a reasonable price I would be willing to buy.
Please contact Bose customer support and I believe they will tell yiou the same thing.
Please let me know.

To locate the problem...a) Cable
Test if right cable is ok, by interchanging the rt/left cables.
b) Test Bose right speaker
Connect the Bose right speaker to HK's left channel. Works? Then Bose right speaker is ok.
c) Test HK's right output by connecting the left Bose speaker to HK's right output.
Does not work?

Bose Lifestyle (and all Bose-amplified speaker) products and their speakers are SYSTEMS and should not be split up or intermixed with other brands or models. Damage will probably result. Proprietary connectors provides a clue.
The digital audio out should work with the Bose. You could still use your Denon to drive a conventional sub in your scheme, but you would have to manually match volume with the Bose. Or go Full Monty and buy a full complement of speakers for the Denon, retask the Bose and slave its sources to the Denon.
Testimonial: "Thank you sir; your quick response is highly appreciated. I returned Denon and am considering DVDO Edge. Regret running Bose wires @ construction?"
