Try running in safe mode on your computer . (keep pressing f8 until you load up the confguration boot screen.
Then choose start windows in safe mode.. when it starts hit control+alt+delete to get ur task manager up delete any suspicious processes (((((maybe ones you havent recognised running before you got the virus)))) this would stop your pc from restarting itself if this was the case ,, then go to http://housecall.trendmicro.com/uk/ run a free online virus scan .. may take a while but i did all this before when my pc kept restarting..and it found worms and all sorts then deleted them.
I restarted windows normally and the virus was gone.

Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
Here's a link to this great service

Tips for a great answer:
Apr 02, 2013 | HP Compaq Presario 2500LA Notebook
If your Compaq Presario has major issues, restoring it to factory defaults may be the best course of action.
There are a number of situations when completely restoring a computer to its factory settings is the best solution, including resolving virus infections and corrupt operating system files.
Back up all of your user data to a USB thumb drive, external hard drive or other device.
The restore process will destroy all of your data, so this is vital to do.
Turn on your computer and open your CD or DVD drive.
Place the restore CD that came with your Presario into the drive and restart your PC. If you do not have a restore CD, you can contact Compaq to order one.
Allow the computer to boot up from the restore CD.
You will see a series of messages guiding you through the restoration process, as well as several warnings that all data on the computer will be erased.
Continue the restoration process, and follow the prompts as needed.
You may need to locate the license key for your version of Windows; that key should be located on a label on the top of the computer case.
Hope this helps
