Question about GE Spacemaker Washer and Dryer Electric Laundry Center
Model # wslp1100doww ser# lhooo548h i have a general elertic spacemaker and it will not spin out all the water so i am thinking it might aslo be a drain problem
In the pump of these units, have a rubber flap that allows water to go out, but not come back in. Sort of like the rubber flap in your toilet. Often, these things get (through use or age) degraded and either come off or get twisted, especially when you have hard water. Its a very small round rubber part that can easily be replaced, but you must take the face off of the washer to gain access to the pump (situated on the bottom of the washer usually in front) and remove the drain hose. its a red flap. If this is not your problem (usually if this is the problem, your clothes would be all soak and wet as water is not being pumped out) then you may just want to take the face off the washer, and feel the belt around the motor pully. if this is loose, that could be why the clothes are not spinning with as much force as a tighter belt. Or your motor could be going..if it is an older unit that is not unheard of.

Welcome to FixYa
When the unit
is unable to drain it will not even work in spin cycle, the problem is with
blocked drain/drain pump filter which should be cleaned. If after cleaning the
problem comes back then the drain pump needs replacement. Please get back to me
if you have any other questions.
