Drain approximately two-thirds of the brake fluid from the master cylinder reservoir. Lift the rear of the Pontiac Grand Prix off the ground with a car jack. Where is the fuel filter on a 2006 pontiac grand prix gt

Pontiac stopped installing the fuel filter on the rail in 2006. The 2004-2005 models had a fuel filter on the driver's side under the rear passenger seat area clipped to the frame. 2006 beyond the fuel filter is part of the fuel pump unit inside the tank.

Breaks on a 2006 Grand Prix

Rear disc brakes have to also apply the parking brakes.
To do that, they must not retract too far.
That is accomplished with a one way ratched down the center of the piston, on the back side.
So most rear pistons have to be rotated CW in order to retract down this spiral ratchet.
Not sure exactly how Pontiac works, but there is probably a large slot in the piston to allow for this.
