Question about GE JGRP17 Gas Single Oven
After the first uses, the oven is sending out a noxious odor?
This is normal as after manufacture these units are stored before shipment and they put a coating on the elements and bake racks so they don't rust during storage

Hello purrpplee - If the smell is coming out of the oven vent, more than likely it is something inside the oven that is creating the odor. Also, keep in mind that new cooking products can create a burning electrical odor when the bake and broil cycles are used as any residual coating or film on the oven liner and elements burns off. However, if odor increases consult a professional for an accurate diagnosis.
