Hi Fred,

Take your radio to your local Radioshack or similar store and the folk there should be able to assist you in the hunt of the part you require.

Hopefully this is helpful to you.

Cheers,
Peter

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: i've lost the back platic plate of my t5422 walkie

Unfortunately, parts were never offered for the T5400 series. Your best option is to find a used one on ebay to use for parts. Sorry I could not be of more assistance.

Best regards.

We haven't found this exact manual, but this one is very close: http://www.motorola.com/mdirect/manuals/T289_User_Manual.pdf

The MON button is the Monitor button. It turns off any private line code settings you have temporarily so you can hear all radio traffic on your frequency.

Here is a link to the SX700 manual (very close match to the SX800, which we could not find a user guide for) http://www.giantintl.com/ContentManage/manuals/Moto/SX700.pdf

Look on page 2. Check both the Keypad Tones and the Talk Confirmation Tone (Roger Beep) instructions, on the lower left. This should help you.

Best regards.

I inheireted 2 fr50's, are they used for anything special, and how do i use them

The FR50 is a basic family radio service radio intended for family use, as opposed to business use. There are 14 frequencies set aside for family use in the US, and they are in this radio. The radio functions like most any other walkie-talkie. You press the push to talk (PTT) button and speak, release it when done, so others can reply.

Here is a copy of the user manual: http://www.giantintl.com/RadioPDFs/Outdated%20Manuals/fr50_User_Manual_E.pdf

If the radios do not talk to one another check the programming.

Best regards.

Can't be received on my FR50 without ear buff in

Sorry, but these are a disposable radio. The schematics and parts list have never been released to dealers. Plus, with the basic repair being $69 on the repairable models, it would be less expensive to replace the unit.

Most likely you either have a bad speaker or speaker connection; or you have something deep in the audio accessory jack which is making contact and fooling the radio into sensing it has an audio device plugged in all the time.
