Having an alignment done usually only corrects the car pulling to one side. Check the rear tires for balance and wear. You may also want to have them rotated to the front to see if the vibration also moves to the front.

How do I chnage the front and rear shocks in a 2001 4.0

The shocks in the rear just unbolt top and bottom, disconnect the air line and replace them.

Struts are used in the front. You'll need to remove them and then have a spring compressor to change the struts. An alignment check is recommended after the struts are replaced.

I dont know how aurora 70 works

This is an EQ mount which must be polar aligned in order to be used properly. Read my tips on Equatorial mounts in my profile page-- and read this:

99 Aurora. 2nd starter. Car sometimes won't start. Sounds like starter solenoid. When it doesn't start, I turn the key and hear solenoid click. Mechanic claims it's not the starter. This happens about once...

We had the same issue on an 2001 Aurora. I left it for a year before it finally annoyed me enough to fix it. In our case it was the starter. The only difference was we didn't get a click of the solenoid when it happened.
I would guess the starter OR the alignment of the starter. If the starter is not aligned properly, sometimes when the solenoid engages it does not throw the gear out into the flywheel properly.
The "starts with a jump" doesn't make any sense to me. If this is really the case I would look at the battery and connections for an issue. If you do not have enough power to engage the starter properly this could be the issue.

2001 Aurora. Has viration at 65 mph and while acceleration. Put in new cv joints. Does it need alignment? It is front wheel drive.

wheel alignment and wheel balance are possibly the most neglected items on a car, they should be done when any work is carried out on front suspension.and thet are also the cheapest to get done when changing tyres.once done THEN you can see if its something more serious/expensive....

When I am going about 60 miles per hour the car doesn't run smooth, feels shakey. My tires were replaced in the front about 6 months ago.

if its just at that speed, have the tires balanced again, and get a front end alignment ,, a single bump on a curb can knock it out of alignment

Ok bought a used 01 olds aurora and i see a traction control light on dash but there is no tc button on console and the light doesn't come on when i crank up. The manual says it should. Did they all come...

i believe the button is located near shifter.

yes all auroras are fairly loaded vehicles that come with 4 wheel abs standard with traction control.

bulb check with key on should illuminate all bulbs.

high speed vibration likely caused by your tires/ tire wear could be cause by alignment -have it checked. while checking alignment they will check steering and suspension compononts and rec any repairs needed.
idle vibration may be normal depending how severe due to age of engine mounts.

my experience with auroras is that they are very high tech high optioned which leads to a chance of falure more often due to more systems. however my opinion is they are VERY nice rides and i think you will enjoy it. keep in mind vehicle is 9 yrs old and expect some expense

Brake lights

Check the fuse then check the bulbs, and also check the brake light swithch under the steering collum along the brake peddle arm for bad connection or alignment. Good luck.
