SOURCE: Moen shower/tub faucet

hi... yes that's a very common issue with moen "cartridges" -- it's very simple to fix..... grasp the handle and give it a gentle tug upwards when the water is on... if it retracts again, pull the handle out again and tug again but this time a bit harder. Not sure what causes this on new cartridges but it will fix your issue.

SOURCE: shower diverter push handle is squirting water out

If you are handy, the best solution is to call delta and have them send you a new diverter. They will need the model of your faucet. The new diverter will come with instructions on the install process. As far as fixing it without the new diverter, I don't believe you will be able to.

SOURCE: no cold water from Moen 2253 tub/shower valve,

Here is a quick check to see if the cartridge may be at fault allowing the cold and hot to mix. Turn off the hot water supply, with hot water supply off turn faucet on. Turn to the hot and cold sides, If you have only cold water then your faucet cartridge is at fault or the cartridge housing is worn. Shut all supply valves and remove cartridge and inspect housing for signs of wear. If wear is visible a new shower valve is needes. If none visible replace cartridge. I have included a link of a PDF file an exploded parts list. I hope this helps in solving your problem. Please rate if the answer helps in any way. Good Luck and have a great week. Jeff

SOURCE: & One Handle Tub & Shower Faucet : i have a moen shower faucet and i get not hot wate...

these valves can be adjusted by removing the handle and adjusting the white gear that regulates the hot and cold that come out, try going more to one way if it gets colder then go the other way.

Moen old shower faucets

Turn off the water to the house undo the screws. Pull out the cartridge. Bring it to any plumbing place or builder supply. Hand it to them they may hand you a new one free without a word being said. This has been the way for decades now. Install the new cartridge.

Handle will not turn water off

single cartridge? pull old one, flush some water through empty valve then install new cartridge. once installed, make sure the horseshoe clip is properly inserted to keep the stem in. once the clip is in right, there is a chrome tube with a ridge that slides over the barrel and the clip. the ridge acts as the stop for the handle. also make sure there are stops inside back of handle to hit the ridge on the chrome tube. the plastic inside the handle may break off allowing the handle to spin. the stem unit/cart may also be installed 180 degrees out of place. pull the lock clip and use the remover tool that came with new cart to rotate it 180 degrees with water supply turned off.

I have a single handle Danze shower. I can't turn on the water. The handle just turns all the way around.

sounds like handle is not engaged....pull handle...may need allen wrench...after handle is off see if you can turn water on with pliers...should go from right to left...if that works...install handle and tighten with allen wrench....handle should set from off area...see if handle is stripped out or not on proper...if need new handle...pick up at lowes or plumbing supply...good luck

No hot water in shower but have hot water in sink

Is your shower valve a single handle. If so I would reccomend you change cartridge. To do this shut off water to valve or house. Remove center cover on valve handle, most of these are just friction fit so gently pry off with knife point or small screwdriver. Remove handle by pulling straight out, then remove chrome cover that fits around outside of valve. Ther is a small copper retaing clip that holds valve in place. It should have a small hole in tab that is on top of valve. Grasp this with pliers and pull up to remove. Then remove cartridge by pulling on cartridge stem. If it's doesn't come out you can get a moen cartridge puller at hardware store. Remove old cartridge, install new one and reinstall retaing clip. Reinstall chrome cover and handle.Turn water back on and try shower valve to see that cold is on the right side. If it's not remove handle and turn center stem 180 degrees. This will change cold side to right. Put handle back on with cover and you sould be done. Hope this helps. Thanks

How do yor remove a shower control to fix leaking water does not turn off complete I took out screws but can,t seem to pull off the handle

handle has a plastic lid that pops/pries off and has a screw under it. Make sure to turn off the water supply to the bathroom or house before you pull out the cartridge.

Hansgrohe 06358620 shower not hot enough

Remove the handle by loosening the screw near the bottom. You should see a plastic ring, probably green, that is the hot water safety. Adjust it so that the handle will turn further for more hot water. It most likely pulls out, then turn it left, reinsert and reattach the handle.

Replaced moen 2225 cartridge leaks when valve is turned on

is this the single handle model? if so simply remove handle, plate, then pull the clip out with a pair of needle nose (after turning main water off).
the valve assembly will pull staright out with moderate force. sounds like one of the small o rings got pinched so it may take a good pull.
make sure to look inside valve housing for foriegn debre. clean it out good. i like to turn the water on for a few seconds before i put the new valve in to blow out any stuff that might cause problems.
