Question about Car Audio & Video
Stereo will not open, or power up.
I have replaced fuses, but not fixed.
However, when the fuse is pulled, or batery is disconnected and re connected, it seems the stereo resets, opens half way for 3 seconds, then closes and goes dormant again. With the back plate off, I do see a flashing red light.
I have cleaned connections as well....????
Any ideas? my kenwood kdc-x969 locked up red lights on checked for power at the red and yellow wire its ok. unpluged and door open half way then closes again.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: Kenwood KDC -X969 Won't power up
Try pressing the reset button when it slides halfway open. It's a little hidden on the main button panel at the bottom. You'll need a pencil or something to press it. This usually happens to me when it's too cold and I have the panel angle set to full down tilt on my 879.
