Question about Acer Aspire 5735 Notebook
My Hard drive, Caps lock, Num lock, and Wireless indicators are not working, everything else works ok ... I may have accidentally disabled them whilst playing about with the keyboard whilst watching a video on full screen (not sure) is there a keyboard shortcut to re enable them?
You shouldn't be able to disable those via a keyboard shortcut. There is always the inevitable hardware failure, but you can test them simply by pressing the corresponding keys (if you haven't already). If your computer comes with software that manages the keyboard (some do), try launching it up and looking around for a viable enable method.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Either you have a defective cable now or the LED board that the lights are on are bad.
You can try another cable exactly like the one that came with your Acer or call acer and get the part number for the LED board. It will cost you some money but it shouldn't be much, less then $100 for sure.
Ask them for a cable as well to make sure your getting the right one as well that way you take care of both ends.
Here is the number for Acer Support, you can explain to them the problem and tell them you need the ribbon cable and the led board and what would the cost be to purchase them. The number is:

try to access command prompt outside of windows using the operating system disc. (by booting to cd and go to repair your computer options then select command prompt) if the keyboard works fine on command prompt, there's no issue with the hardware. but if it still doesnt work, you will need to replace the keyboard.
