I can't get hot water from the pegasus shower valve

I installed a new pegasus shower valve. I know there is hot water to the shower but I can't get it when the valve is turned to hot

Hot water pressure at the Faucet is just a trickle.

    Tried the Following

1.) turned the Cold water off at the faucet Set screw, to see actually how much hot water was making it to the faucet. Still just a trickle

2.) Removed the stopper and spring from the hot side of the faucet and still just a trickle

3.) Turned off the Hot water supply line. Removed the set screw assembly and attached a 3/8 adapter and a hose and turned on the hot water. Plenty of Hot water pressure through the hose.

Something is wrong with the shower valve? what else can I do?

4.) I think I've ruled out everything that I have Control over.

The antiscald device needs to be adjusted. It's behind the escucheon and determines the amount of hot water flow.

I have a pegasus thermostatic shower faucet (model 161-263) and the water only goes from hot to hotter. i don't have the manual. what can i do?

I have a similar problem in a house I just moved into. It's clearly not an issue with the temperature settings because I adjusted those and it hasn't fixed the problem. Pressure is low and it's only hot water, which leads me to believe the cold water isn't making it to the faucet for some reason. Have you figured out a solution? I'm searching all over and can't find anything. It's maddening. Thanks.

No water pressure on Pegasus kitchen single handle faucet

Those new faucets generally have a lower water pressure due to legislation passed in 2007 that reduced that maximum allowable gpm (gallons per minute). I hate to tell anyone this but there is little if anything you can do. First of all, make sure the shut-off valves are open completely. I know that sounds elementary but I've seen it a bunch of times.

Also check to see if the aerator is blocked with a bit of debris.....unlikely if the flow is uniform but still an easy fix.

Hope I didn't break your spirit too much....

New Pegasus Dual Flush Toilet Water does not enter Toilet bowl

There is a small plastic tube that comes from the fill valve and attaches onto the overflow tube on the flush valve. If no water is coming out of that tube, then it is clogged internally. You can remove the tube from the fill valve and take a small piece of wire or a straight pin to try and clear it from the outside. If that doesn't work, then I would recommend replacing the fill valve. They are inexpensive to replace. If you don't know how to get into the fill valve's internal guts at the top, then I would recommend replacement of the valve. One more thing, there also could be a water saver where the outlet is on the little tube I just explained. It is usually light blue, you can remove that and discard it.
