Milwaukee 18v Drill - Brake not working any more..

Had this drill for just under a year now and had no problems at all prior to this.. Yesterday the electric brake stopped working on my combi drill so it spins after I have released the trigger which as you can imagine can be extremely frustrating! Anyone had this happen to them and know of a way to solve it? Thanks in advance

Two options the brushes are worn or sticking in their holders or the switch is faulty. Switch can be expensive. If it's under a year contact milwaukee and get it fixed under warranty. It might need the upgraded switch.

Drill is noisy in operation - sounds like bearings - its a bosch combi boxer drill (350-2)

Bosch did not make a 'combi boxer' or a model #350-2
Unfortunately, you probably have a cheap Japanese drill sold as a Bosch with a fake Bosch label, we see plenty of them come through.

My 18v combi drill just stopped working light works so battery charged

This could be a trigger (contacts) problem or motor brushes are worn. Try to rotate the drill chuck by hand about 1/4 turn, then try the trigger. If the drill starts to move then it most likely will be worn brushes.

I have an 18v Milwaukee drill. Can I use a 28v charger to charge the 18v battery

Generally, When your have the 18V milwaukee drill, you had better to use the same voltage battery charger to charge the battery. it will be more safe.

Drill works perfectly in gear 2, but its like gear 1 doesnt engage properly, it just rattles and doesnt rotate when it comes under even slight pressure

This sounds like stripped gears, happens if you switch the gears while unit is running. you have to disassemble and replace what is damaged. Not always very easy for a home repair, consider a tool shop for this task.
