Question about Canon PowerShot A590IS Digital Camera Compact Travel Case

1 Answer

Substance inside camera

I was photographing something that emitted vapors (similar to those from spores). Now, my camera is "glued," the lens sticked when opening and closing and the viewer is blurred in places. What can I do to fix this, please?

Send it back to Canon for service. Inside the paperwork you should have info as to where to send it.

On a modern digital camera, there are effects filters, it sounds like you have one of them turned on.

Google your camera manual

make model manual

You can turn them back using something like PaintShop Pro, Light Room, or similar.

Why am I getting mold on my ref seals

There could be a few reasons....
Poor seals, causing water vapors to condense around the leakage, combined with mold spores being present in the home.
Usually where the seal connect on the fridge, the area is kinda of warm, so adding water and spores causing an ideal growing location.

Where the fridge is common traffic way in a home, it is also prone to bacterial and fungal collection.

Pajero / Delica - How to take apart "female" or

A flathead screwdriver should be able to pry apart the female end of the latch. Sometimes the female end is glued together, or similar. In order to prevent damage to the connector, I would recommend you try using some tweezers or similar to pull the debris out. A bent coat hanger, thick piece of wiring, or similar may work as well.

2 months into the heating season I noticed a large puddle around my heater. the Aprilaire 600 unit was leaking. The distrution tray had a red substance around the water holes. Also the overflow drain line...

Mold can really cause problems with humidifiers-
They do need to be serviced, cleaned up, and something like weak bleach used to kill mold spores, -- get it all tidy and clean!
Were you able to clean out the drain line?-- and is it draining now?
And is the float valve shutting off the water flow, before it reaches the overflow drain pipe?
Another concern would be the soaking pad-- Has it been changed recently?

Tell us more--

Charging smoking stick. I just recieved this product in the mail. It was already charged. The cartridge worked well. Then stopped emitting vapors. So I plugged it in and the indicator light stayed green,...

Well, it isn't a digital camera... but I have had experience with these electronic cigarettes.

I am not sure about the green light. The batteries on these do need frequent charging- they also fail more quickly than other rechargeables I have had experience with. The filament in the vapourisor can also fail. I would suspect the battery first. If it isn't charging it might mean that it has gone open circuit.

If you are like me, you will eventually have a fair number of these cigarettes and the various spare parts, and become familiar with the various ways they fail.

I have a GPVH 40 100 AO smith hot water heater. The FV (flammable vapor) sensor has been setoff from us painting the floor yesterday. How do I reset the unit?

AO smith manuals
http://www.hotwater.com/lit/im/r-gas.html

GPVH series manual
http://www.hotwater.com/lit/im/res_gas/315465-000.pdf
You can search the manual for FV

The FV sensor shorted because it detected flammable gas

Quote manual:
Flammable liquids (such as
gasoline, solvents, propane (LP or butane, etc.) and other substances
(such as adhesives, etc.) emit flammable vapors which can be ignited
by a gas water heater's hot surface igniter or main burner. The
resulting flashback and fire can cause death or serious burns to anyone
in the area. This water is equipped with a FV sensor for detecting the
presence of flammable vapors, see Figure 3. When the sensor detects
those vapors, the unit will shut down and not operate. Should this
happen, please refer to the troubleshooting guide on pages 28-30.

Troubleshoot step 14-15 says
replace the FV sensor
call tech assistance number that shows on water heater
AO Smith will refer you to a plumber
I don't believe homeowner can buy these parts due to Federal regulations
The shorted FV sensor probably saved you a flash-over
The cost of 2nd degree burns from a flash-over would be astronomical.
Fortunately you're ok, and the other folk in the room are ok.
In the old days.
Two guys I knew, winter 1978 Chicago, were laying VA tile using the black mastic.
They were killed and the house burned down because of the water heater.
Main office marked the event with a memo saying they still owed money on their account.

The only company with a re-settable FVIR that I'm aware right now is Bradford White
http://www.thetankatwaterheaterrescue.com/forums/forum3/2679.html
http://411plumb.com/bradford-white-defender-water-heater-review
Bradford White Defender FVIR is resettable without buying parts.

Odor emitting fro refrigerator

I wish i did know what exactly the problem could be from. One possible cause of this oily looking substance is that you have a compressor line leak somewhere within the walls of your side by side. you may want to look into your warranty to see if this an be covered if under warranty. there is a product however that is a charcoal based air purifier for fridges it is called fridge aid. and can be purchased at a cheap cost.hope this helps

Thanks

Jeep is emitting a white substance around the manifold. Looks like something expolded. It was over heating. What can it be?

The cylinder head gasket seems to have blown and the oil has mixed with water thus the whitish substance.

Condensation

Condensation is the change in matter of a substance to a denser phase, such as a gas (or vapor) to a liquid.[1] Condensation commonly occurs when a vapor is cooled to a liquid, but can also occur if a vapor is compressed (i.e., pressure on it increased) into a liquid, or undergoes a combination of cooling and compression. Liquid which has been condensed from a vapor is called condensate. A device or unit used to condense vapors into liquid is called a condenser. Condensers are used in heat exchangers which have various designs, and come in many sizes ranging from rather small (hand-held) to very large.
The water seen on the outside of a cold glass on a hot day is an example of condensation.
