Hi, I just bought a camera Samsung GX 1S, and also a GB SB card "High Performance". Every single time I turn on the camera comes a mesage indicating the card has memory problems. I formated it but the problem is still there

The soloution gave the clue to fix the problem. Actually the problem wasn't de High Performance, but 4GB. The camera does not take more than 2GB cards, and they can be high performance. Thank tou for your help drumbanger

The card you bought for the camera is not compatible with your camera! (just because it fits and looks the same does not make it a match!) try useing a regular sb card and return the high proformance card!

When using external flash some are ok but some show movement, whats the best setting to use, ive tryed auto and manual, john

There is no single "best" setting, that's why the camera provides so many. It depends too much on the particular setting, the effect you're going for, and other factors.

If you're seeing undesired movement, that's an indication that the shutter speed is too slow. Using either Manual or Shutter-priority mode, set the shutter speed faster (being careful not to go faster than the maximum sync speed).

Hi,

you mean a 4 GB sd card, or not?

I don't think that the camera will recognise a so big sd card. Try a 1 GB sd card and it will works ;-)

CANON DIGITAL IXUS 40 CAMERA

Most likely it is not compatable. The SDHC cards are a very different animal to the regular type of cards (which most cards up to 2 GB are). I wouldn't open the package until you are absolutely sure. All info I've found on your camera indicates up to 2 GB (non SDHC only) maximum.
