Hi, I wanted to down load a tv series on iTunes and it said i had to update my itunes to the new 10.0.1. When I am installing the itunes, it gets to the very end then this message comes up: "Could not...

Looks like Microsoft software problem reboot on safe mode , regedit , change permissions
of you cannot change permissions
You can always use a linux live distro to remove all the keys you wish or the revo backup (with tools) http://www.revouninstaller.com/revo_uninstaller_free_download.html

Or the linux version rescue tools cd for windows called " I have the password " or http://www.hirensbootcd.org/ to use tools to remove registry parts that are hidden or not will change on a simple way. sometimes not always easy if some registry keys are failed sfc /scannow and chkdsk /r to be shure its not your registry only damaged.

I can't get adobe flash to download on my windows vista. I get error 19166

follow these steps:
1.First, Uninstall with Adobe's Flash Player Uninstaller:
http://download.macromedia.com/pub/f...ash_player.exe
2.Re-install the full version of flash player :
http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/get...r_active_x.msi

If these two option did not solve your problem maybe you have javascript disabled follow the steps descrived below:
In Internet Explorer:
Select tools -> Internet Options
Click on the "security" tab
Click on "custom level"
Scroll down to the Scripting option
Select "Enable" for "Active Scripting and Scripting of Java Applets"
Click "ok"
Select YES if a confirmation box appears
Click "ok" and close the window.
Hit "F5" to reload the page.

In Mozilla Firefox:
Click tools -> Options
Click "content" in the options list
Check the box next to "Enable JavaScript"
Click the "Advanced" button
Check the boxes under "allow scripts" to enable JavaScript.
Click "Ok" twice.
Hit F5 to reload the page.

Fix it 10 software removal

Buy the program again install and un-install?
That is with out a doubt the most asinine thing I have ever heard. Ignore him and try booting into Safe mode then run the add /remove program. The software is simply loading with the system files and once activated is difficult to remove while the Fix-it files are running. Many spyware and Virus programs do the exact same thing.
Running in safe mode loads just the bare essential files Windows needs to run. All others are skipped..

If this fails, try downloading and installing Revo link here.
It will ask to search the registry for stray entries left behind. Let it do this, but be careful deleting the registry entries. Be sure it is a stray from the Fix-it utilities. You can usually tell by checking the entry displayed.

Revo is a powerful clean up tool.
It will TRY to use the programs un-installer first.
"Most installations set up a "un-installer" file.
If Revo does not find one, It will automatically go to the next phase and do it's best to locate all the bits and pieces and purge them.

Good luck!
Hope this helps!

I would like to down load and install it again on my computer the

System restore would bring bring back your system to life...START--ALL PROGRAMS--ACCESSORIES--SYSTEM TOOLS--SYSTEM RESTORE and then restore your system to a previous date when it was working fine.
As far as freezing is concerned it could be a hardware problem too...try removing any external device attached, make sure your BIOS specification is according to your motherboard...read the manual. It could also be a video card problem.
Try re-installing windows...at the end of the day, this step usually does the work.

Acer 5520 restore failed 0xa000000e

I got it to work by deleting all the partitions on my drive (I first loaded xp, loaded system commander 9, and used that to delete all the partitions.)

Then while booting from the recovery cd, holding down alt-f10, the recovery dialog said it was partitioning the drive. (I didn't see this before, even if I partitioned the drive like it came from the factory.)

Then the rest of the recovery worked.

Vista, can not down load active x

Do the following.

Repair your PC via the Windows installation DVD

Then again download the required activeX controls.

In this way you wont lose your data either and the problem would also be solved.
