Question about Vivitar ViviCam 3750 Digital Camera

1 Answer

My friend gave me his used camera when his wife bought him with a new camera for Christmas. Although she bought it with his money, he still liked it. I didn't see it yet but he said it had a lot more pixles than the used Vivitar he gave me. OK, it's a hand me down camera. At least it's a good brand. Anyways, he gave me a slightly used Vivicam 3750 but with no box, instructions or disc. He did however manage to find the cord. Is there anyway to get you guy's to send the drivers or start up disc for this thing? My other option is to take out the card and read it with a card reader or use an even older camera. I would appreciate it. If you can't, no worries. Thanks, Jim Perrette

You shouldn't need to download any drivers. What kind of computer and operating system do you have? Once you've taken some photos just plug the camera via USB into your PC and it should launch the photo transfer application automatically.

Which digital camera can fit Albinar ADG lens 80-200mm ?

I bought my wife a Pentax body for Christmas from Adorama.com. She had several Pentax lenses for her old 35mm and I didn't want to have to replace 4 lenses. It is the Pentax K-x. The lenses fit and eventually I figured out how to get the camera to actually permit me to USE it. (hint: switch to M and change the focal switch to MF... for some reason I thought there was something i changed in the menu as well, but can't find the setting). The only thing I don't like about the K-x is that it uses AA batteries and even NiMH rechargeable batteries don't last long. Maybe look for one with a rechargeable lithium battery. HTH

Nikon Coolpix L110 camera was bought for me for Christmas 2010. Worked fine at first, but now seems to be having problems. Batteries don't last. I just bought new batteries in Feb/March this year...

You have to charge the batteries for nearly 8-10 hours. Brand new batteries also require a full recharge of 8-10 hours. Not only making sure the batteries are charged, have you changed the battery in the menu under type of batteries.
Download this manual :

My windows vista computer isn't recognizing the NDC6005-SB 'spongebob' camera when it's plugged into a usb port.

Here's how I fixed the problem -- I threw out the camera I purchased from you. Complete loss. This is the same camera that, right out of the box, wasn't recognized by Windows Vista. I got it for my daughter for Christmas so she could take pictures and we could print them. Being that it's completely new, I figured I could request some help. Your response was 'we'd love to help, just pay us even more money to fix the problem that we created.' Nice.

No free support for something right out of the box? Merry !@#$$#% Christmas. Yet another scam.

Thanks for nothing. I'm assuming if I request my money back, I'll get an offer for an extended service contract that costs twice was the camera costs, or 10 percent off my next purchase to replace this brand new camera that doesn't work.

Unbelievable.

When i turn on camera, it says battery empty

ok this happpened to my old kodak once. actually, several times.what i ended up having to do was give it to a mechanically inclined friend to fix. as it turned out, some cable had been fried after one of the times i dropped the camera. so you can either:
  1. get rechargable batteries to save money
  2. buy a new camera
  3. contact a mechanically inclined friend/relative/co-worker

hope this helped!

Camera drains charged batteries

Most likely your batteries are just not holding a charge. However, before you spend good money on new batteries, try charging them on another charger (friend or sympathetic photo shop?). Could be the charger also. Usually it's the batteries, though.

Hi

No 'camera shop' out there will be able to fix your camera, they will all just want to send it to Kodak for a new lens and will want about $150-200 for the job.

I know one place online that can probably help you out. Google: "darntoothysam"

This could possibly be a problem with the card reader ..Just insert a different card and see if it works..If it reads other cards..then i advice that you get new card coz the recovery softwares and stuff r pretty expensive and will be a waste of money..

With friends like this who needs enemy's [assuming the camera was like it when he /she gave it to you] A lens malfunction of any type is a costly repair In some cases a non repair because it would be cheaper to buy a new camera. Sorry to be harbinger of sad news
