My psp slim.i dont know why when i open the power but noting on the screen.yestday its normal,i open the case coz try to fix my joystick,then its hapend. nothing on the screen when i open the power..c

try using firmware 5.32

I know how to solve this so worry not! here's the solution:
1:your joystick may have a little part that is dismembered so buy a new one
2:ask for a assistant to open your psp to put the joystick properly
3:I have the same problem so here's what I do.

The only way this can happen is if you have damaged the joystick function area.You have to change the joystick and put another one.

there is a problem on your psp's internal parts or in the program... you go to the nearest sony rapairing shop so that they can fix it. thanks

mybe you brick your psp in that way.. the best way to unbrick it is to use pandora battery kit.. i also xprience that but in my case im upgrading my psp then i shut it down... if you dont have pandora battery kit.. then try to find someone who have one.. or find some stores that can repair psp... like malls.. i hope this will work.. coz i fix mine..

look the version of your psp and the umd games.. coz its depends to the version of your psp and the games

try tightening the face plate more where the nub is. if ts not tight itll cause an intermiddent contact and not wokr right. if this dont work, you fried something w /static from your body. try geting a new metal chassis

you have to replace the joystick. do not use graphite as it will conduct accross the track. You need a thin philips srewdriver to remove 5 srews one under the label that says do not remove label in battery compartment.once all srews are removed cover pops out and its very easy to replace unit. Look on ebay for replacement joystick for SLIM MODEL PSP.

then it is a internal fault is it under warranty if so id take it back and try your analog stick on the replacement one then your see if it your machine or the analog ?
