A sound device is a piece of software that acts as the player. Go to the ZT groop support website and download that software and install it.

Did back on computer and now it says I have no Audio Device on my computer the tower makes a beep noise but can not get speakers to work

ok so if you can see the icon of the little speaker on the left of your task bar right click on it and select playback device when the window opens look for your sound card if you can see it make sure it has a green tick next to it this means it is the default device if not select it and then click set default if it isnt listed then go to the control panel if your on xp or below go to control panel then system then click on device manager if vista or win 7 go to control panel then directly to device manager if you cant see it click hardware and sound then select device manager, when it opens you should see something like unknown device if not go to sound video and game controllers, click on your sound card or unknown device then click properties then click driver then click update driver, follow the wizard and that should fix your sound. sometimes your computer will drop the sound driver i dont know why that is a question for microsoft. hope that works for you if not then you probably have an issue with your sound card. let me know how you go.

Sound

You will want to check a few settings in the control panel of your computer.

1. Click "Start" --> "Control Panel". If your using Windows XP, I recommend you click "Switch to Classic view". Double-click on "Sounds and Audio Devices". First, make sure the volume is not muted. Then click on the "Audio" tab. Make sure there are devices listed, and that they are not grayed out. You may try clicking "Use only default devices". Click apply and test the sound again. If this does not work, uncheck the box and click apply again.

2. The problem may be with your audio drivers. Do a google search for "realtek generic audio driver", or click this link Realtek '97 audio driver.

Download the driver and install it. This will install generic drivers for sound cards, which work with many different brands. Try the sound again and see if this works.

Sound

Did you have sound before?
If yes then follow this for xp:
Start/control panel/Sounds, Speech, & Audio Devices/Sound & Audio Devices. Is page greyed out? If yes then most likely its your sound card or on board sound, or your missing drivers.
If not greyed out go to "Sounds" tab, click on any "Program events" sound under Windows then click little black arrow next to browse on bottom right . Sound? If the arrow is greyed out then its the same; audio hardware device or audio driver.
If there is still no sound click on "Hardware" tab and first Sound, video and game controller then "properties". This will tell you under "Device status" if this device is working properly. Do this for each Sound, video ect.... selection in the list. I have found there are usually 6 listings. If not then you are most likely missing a sound driver.

Computers

There are a few output sockets and headphone sockets, are you sure youre in the right one.
make sure your sound isnt muted. go to Start>control panel>sounds and audio devices, and click on the advanced button to bring up more options.
Check the sound device is installed properly by trying to play an audio clip, if it appears that it is playing properly.
Do you have another program that could be controlling things, a media player for example......
