After a fresh install of an operating system you have to set up your sound again if your computer came with a motherboard disc the sound drivers could be on it click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to sound,video and game controllers you might see a yellow question exclamation mark? ! or a red X Right click to reinstall drivers click start control panel sounds and audio,volume,advanced,speakers make sure you have selected the (((appropriate speakers))) also audio you will find 3 drop down lists make sure you have the correct settingsthere also click start control panel sounds and audio devices select advanced there might be a tick in the mute box untick it if his does not fix the problem click start control panel sounds and audio devices you can adjust the volume there also select speaker volume you can change your settings there you can also tick in the box place icon in taskbar for any further volume control settings you will need to right click on the volume iconsystem select adjust volume

Check that your sound is not muted.If it isnt, or isnt showing then go into control panel-> sound devices and check that you have driver installed or is working properly. If there is no audio codec, install it from your motherboard disc.If it isnt working properly, uninstall the sound driver and reboot laptop.Sound drivers should reinstall
we see some time sound driver goes auto matically and some times virous do it. right mouse click on my computer.then click on property then click on hardwere .then click device manager then click on speaker if there is yellow sign right mouse click on speaker then click update driver .Before thise keep bord cd.. if not yellow go control panel and look speaker property isnt there mute sound? correc sound system.

There are a few output sockets and headphone sockets, are you sure youre in the right one. make sure your sound isnt muted. go to Start>control panel>sounds and audio devices, and click on the advanced button to bring up more options. Check the sound device is installed properly by trying to play an audio clip, if it appears that it is playing properly.
