Radio station preset buttons delete after turned off

The preset buttons hold the memory while it is on, but are lost after the radio is turned off. Tried changing the main batteries, but wondering if there is a second battery to hold the memory

I have a panasonic RXFT 600 Boombox. I preset the radio stations and they hold for about 30 minutes, then they are gone? Any one have an idea what the problem may be.

If it is an aftermarket radio then that means that the constant power wire is not connected. It has to be connected in order to keep the memory of the stations. If that does not work then contact me back and there might be a couple other things. I hope this works for you.

The memory settings are lost at switched off.

Many portable radios require batteries that keep clock and oher functions - including memory presets. Without knowing the brand and model of your radio I can't get into any more detail than that. Look for a battery door or the manual online with google.

Look on the back of the radio. There is a little door you can open near the top, not the battery compartment. Inside this little door you will find 3 individual tuning knobs for the presets. Low tech, but it works!

How do i change the AM radio to FM?

Hello
Press RADIO BAND.AUTO PRESET until the band you want appears in the display (direct power on). Each time you press this button, the indication changes as "FM" --> "AM". Hold down TUNE + or --, until the frequency digit begins to change in the display. The player automatically scans the radio frequencies and stops when it finds a clear station. If you can't tuned in a station, press the button repeatedly to change the frequency step by step. If FM broadcast is noisy, press "MODE" until "Mono" appears on the display and the radio will play in monatural without any noise. Only strong FM signals can be decoded to stereo. OK.

How do you set the radio stations?

With my ilive ish3 soundbar, you find an unused memory preset, go to the station you want to program, press MEMORY and while the display is still flashing press MEMORY again. Took a bit of trial and error to figure that one out.
