Re: only plays in black&white
Allot of times one of the video RCA connections can go bad.
Replace the RCA Video wire, Yellow. If you have component (RGB), this is a common problem when the wires are crossed. The Blue is the B/W feed and one of the other Green/Red, may be bad or crossed. If you haven't changed any wires since the color went out, it is still possible that one of the wires jiggled loose. If you have S-video, try replacing that. When I say replace, maybe check the connections are plugged in well first, then replace.

TH-M505 can display in black in white if connected iimproperly using COMPONENT connections or if cables have gone bad. Try replacing component or changing connection to COMPOSITE. Does it play in black in white using COMPOSITE?
If you're using the 3-cable component connections, it sounds like one of your component cables is in wrong or failing completely. It doesn't matter what the color on the RCA cable ends are as long as like-colored jacks on each component are connected.
If they are correct, take a single spare RCA cable and swap it into the function of each of the three component cables in turn to see if that makes an improvement. If it does, just leave it in place.
Go to the "Bose" menu screen viewing on your TV (make sure no dvd is in the player) Go to your Video controls and check your output, chances are, if your using the component output your player is set to "S-Video". Should fix the problem. Hope this helps. If it's still not viewing correctly, post a comment and I will help you some more
are you using the correct colour output? change it and see if it works....go to set up, video or display, and look for the colour output option...check that, and if that dont work, try changing ntsc or pal....it wrkd for me
