Re: download texts messages onto computer
You will need to download a software called mobile phone tools to get this done. You will also need a data cable or a bluetooth dongle on your PC so that you can connect the phone. http://www.bvrp.com/ENG/products/ After downloading and installing the above software follow these steps to transfer the msgs to PC. Open Mobile Phone Tools Press F3 (for transferring messages from outbox) or Press F4 (for transferring from inbox) Select messages you want to transfer Select EXPORT Choose format/destination. I would recommend txt format as it is real quick.

My suggestion is to get a data cable for your phone, this will plug into your razr's charging port on one end and connects to the pc via usb on the othjer end of the cable.
Catalog #1701083 $19.97 at your local radioshack, includes software aswell, Probably can also be purchased at your wireless carriers store.
You won't be able on that phone you can of course e-mail yourself all the incoming and outgoing text messages then from your e-mail you can copy / paste them in a folder you make that will let you know what's in it (ex: TM short for text messages) then after that you can put that folder or it's contents on a SD card or USB card , so there you have it forever.
Unfortunately for the L7, there is no auto-signature for text messages. However, to setup auto-signature on MMS messages, go to Menu/Messaging/<Menu Button>/Inbox Setup/MMS Message Setup/Composing MMS and you will see an entry box for Autosignature.
Your phone came with a USB data cable so that yo can connect it to your computer, just install the software that came with your phone as well and by then you can access messages and pictures from the computer and print it,
My software update didn't work properly and it messed up my text messages.
I solved this problem by downloading the Motorola Software Update (MSU) from Motorola's website at hellomoto.com/support/update
1. Select your country/Region
2. Select carrier
3. Select Phone model
4. Click Orange arrow to the right of the model type
5. Select purchase month and year (If out of warranty select month and date within one year of today's date or it won't work) Then click Check Warranty Status
6. Follow "Click here" link to previous page
7. Select box right above Download Update link
8. Click Download update link
9. Follow directions for Download
From there you will have Motorola Software Update on your computer.
With your phone turned off, hold ^ # and the red power key at the same time until it prompts you to connect to your computer using USB cord.
Let the computer do it's thing and you're good to go!
Your getting this because your phone was set up to recieve someones emails or notifications from an overseas network not supported in this country you will need to do a master reeset on your phone then set it up properly for this market. Your cell provider can walk you through this procedure.
