SOURCE: Noise coming from upper back fan of my danby wine cooler

You'll need to take the defective fan out and take it to some type of hvac distributor in your area. Fan blades generally come off of the shaft of the motor by one or two allen screws.

What type of noise is it making?

You may also consider the motor. If the noise isn't caused by the fan blade hitting something when it spins the noise could be coming from the motor. For that type of unit, the motors are very small and only have two wires to connect them and usually a very small plug. If not you'd only need two wirenuts and some electrical tape. It's just very important when you replace the fan that you match the voltz, hertz, rotation, and hp.

Hi, I have a WCR524SDZD wine chiller and the fan has started to make noises, and also the temperatures seem to not drop to the temperatures we expect. Where can I get a new fan? or parts for this...

your unit uses a generic fan motor that a lot of refrigerators ect.. use. If you take the fan to a local shop that sells refigerators they will match up one for you. Avanti's phone number is 1 800 220 5570. good luck

Haier wine cellar HVTS18DABB top zone won't cool.

Maybe not the answer for everyone, but I proved it was the fan by removing the back panel, removing the fan and finger guard, then placing a small desktop fan that was the same size as the top-rear fan on the wine fridge. Pumping air directly over the heat sink allowed the unit to attain the temperature set on the front panel. The old fan would either not turn at all, or too slowly to be effective. These fans are junk. Especially after finding articles such as this out in different forums for the same issue. I have the HVTS18DABB model unit and the replacement fan is a simple 120mm square, 25mm deep 12V DC fan. Similar or the same as you see in computer chassis. Found some inexpensive, high CFM, low noise fans from the following site:
http://www.sidewindercomputers.com
Specific fan for my application was the model SY1225SL12SH. Although I did order a second fan that is similar in case the .5amps was too high and I popped a fuse. These fans are inexpensive folks, as long as you aren't afraid to get your hands dirty. Good luck.

Wine cooler not cooling below 65 lights works but not fan any ideas

Brand and model number will help someone answer your question easier. But to guess the problem I would think the fan is the answer. Both interior and exterior fans must run while any cooler or refrigerator or it will cause the compressor to over heat and stop cooling. Running with a bad fan can also damage the compressor internal overload. f you unplug the fan wires and test for voltage you should get your local voltage unless the fans are DC. Thanks, Lit me know the model and make and I will help you further, Sea Breeze
