Question about Acer Aspire One PC Notebook
Power on..battery supply is ok...but i have a black screen...blank screen>...help!!!tnx!
I have the same problem with my Acer Aspire One notebook. It seems to rarely happen, but I do occasionally get a completely black screen in the middle of something, and then have to manually hold the power button down until it powers down and reboot to continue normally.
What causes this malfunction? It has nothing to do with Fn+F6, because as soon as I tried typing something it did nothing. If it was Fn+F6 just continuing to type would have fixed the problem. This happens both on AC or battery power.

If the screen returns after reboot, it is not the same as the black screen on boot that requires bios flashing.
Dunno how to fix, but you can avoid shutting down completely by closing the computer into standby and then waking up, thus preserving what you were working on

See http://macles.blogspot.com/ . I had similar symptoms and shipped it off to Acer for repair and it was returned with new level of BIOS as only repair. The macles blog has directions/links for upgrading the bios on an apparently dead machine, if you'd like to try it yourself.
