Please try changing the router channel by starting Internet Explorer and typing the router address into the address bar

    e.g. http://192.168.0.1

If you need instructions to find out the router IP let me know

I cannot get my wireless Lan mini card to connect to a wireless network, the network is detected but will not connect

Go to the Device Manager. Double click on the Dell Wireless (1390/1490/1500) Dual Band WLAN Mini-Card device. The properties dialog should appear. Click on the Advanced tab. Look for Antenna Diversity under the Property. Change the value to Aux. Hit ok. Then try and reconnect to your WIFI connection. By changing this you should see your access point and be able to connect to it.

Try disconnecting any wireless devices in your home (ex. wireless phones, baby monitors) then try again. I had the same problem, but when I disconnected our baby monitor, it worked. The other wireless devices were interfering with the router's signal.
